Within three days of its release, the film has reportedly earned over Rs 68 crores, (USD 83 million approx). The film has gained big numbers mostly because of the leading man though it is a multi-starter. Along with Khan, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Bhumika Chawla, Shenaaz Gill and others.&nbsp;<br />

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated that Sunday collection contributed to a major chunk of earnings. The film's ticket sales totalled Rs 26 crore ( USD 31 million approx) just on Sunday which helped boost the total collection. The film was released a day before Eid and the total collection was Rs 15.81 crore on the first day.&nbsp;</p>

Both Khan and Venkatesh somewhat uplift the climax but the film's writers Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, and Tasha Bhambra's lazy writing shows. Pooja Hegde and Salman Khan's romance- which forms the core story- is ice cold. It's like the girl is romancing a cucumber. In fact, Salman's inability to emote much is incorporated cleverly in one scene where he holds the same straight face when his lady love asks him to emote. Quite meta, I'd say. Also, the way the brothers decide to choose the girl for their beloved Bhaijaan is bizarre. One moment they decide and pray to god that they want a girl for their brother, and the next second, the girl lands right in front of them. Also, no background check is done for her- so much for loving their Bhaijaan. The girl could have easily been replaced by a pigeon flying past them- they would have chosen it for their Bhai. This year, Salman takes his Bhai (big brother) status literally in Fahad Samji's film <em>Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan</em>. Throughout the film, Salman is either addressed as <em>Bhai, Bhaijaan</em> or simply <em>Jaan</em>. His character has no name, religion and cast do not bind him and he chants Vande Mataram before bashing goons double his size. He also recites proses from&nbsp;the Geeta to woo the girl of his dreams. He is the leader of a pack - which operates in set of threes. He has been a foster parent and overall big brother to three orphans, whom he calls his own. He has three friends, his tackles three villains...you get the drift?<br />

His young brothers seem to operate together. They hang out together, fight together, get emotional at the same time about the same things, romance and go on dates together. So when the three brothers, (who also dress up similarly and have similar beards and cannot really be distinguished from each other) want to get married, their only hindrance is their elder brother, <em>Bhaijaan</em>. The man had apparently vowed never to get married or let his younger brothers marry as a woman can ruin their bond.&nbsp;<br />

The three brothers decide to break that vow and find a girl for their <em>B</em><em>haijaan</em> in order to settle down with their respective girlfriends. The yardstick is pretty simple, the girl should be called Bhagya, which was Bhaijaan's ex-girlfriend's name. Their wish is fulfilled when Bhagyalakshmi comes to their colony to stay for a month. She is an antique conservationist we are told but never really works. We do see her being friends with the three brothers and very strangely falling for the scruffy, unkept, long-haired, and nearly mute Bhaijaan because the bhais want them to hook up. She calls him <em>Jaan,</em> they fall in love over the course of two songs and soon realise that her family's life is in threat from a local goon in Hyderabad.&nbsp;</p>

There are also a bunch of new faces playing Salman's brothers and their hoes. Poorly written with limited dialogues, actors Siddharth Nigam, Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill, Palak Tiwari and Shehnaaz Gill are all just there- playing caricature roles. All well-known Internet and TV stars in their own right- they are totally wasted in the film.&nbsp;<br />

Ultimately, <em>Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan </em>works only for its action sequences in the second half - provided you have the palate for incessant punches and mind-numbing stunts. Both Khan and Venkatesh somewhat uplift the climax but the film's writers Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, and Tasha Bhambra's lazy writing shows.&nbsp;<br />

Pooja Hegde and Salman Khan's romance- which forms the core story- is ice cold. It's like the girl is romancing a cucumber. In fact, Salman's inability to emote much is incorporated cleverly in one scene where he holds the same straight face when his lady love asks him to emote. Quite meta, I'd say. Also, the way the brothers decide to choose the girl for their beloved <em>Bhaijaan</em> is bizarre. One moment they decide and pray to god that they want a girl for their brother, and the next second, the girl lands right in front of them. Also, no background check is done for her- so much for loving their <em>Bhaijaan.</em> The girl could have easily been replaced by a pigeon flying past them- they would have chosen it for their <em>Bhai.&nbsp;</em><br />

So when the three brothers, (who also dress up similarly and have similar beards and cannot really be distinguished from each other) want to get married, their only hindrance is their elder brother, Bhaijaan. The man had apparently vowed never to get married or let his younger brothers marry as a woman can ruin their bond. The three brothers decide to break that vow and find a girl for their Bhaijaan in order to settle down with their respective girlfriends. The yardstick is pretty simple, the girl should be called Bhagya, which was Bhaijaan's ex-girlfriend's name. Their wish is fulfilled when Bhagyalakshmi comes to their colony to stay for a month. She is an antique conservationist we are told but never really works. We do see her being friends with the three brothers and very strangely falling for the scruffy, unkept, long-haired, and nearly mute Bhaijaan because the bhais want them to hook up. She calls him Jaan, they fall in love over the course of two songs and soon realise that her family's life is in threat from a local goon in Hyderabad. A self-professed protector to one and all, Salman and company move to Hyderabad to meet Bhagya's family and fight goons- south style with over-the-top action sequences where everyone believes in using axes and swords to attack. Jitna clean hoga content, utna behtar hoga, viewership uski zyada hogi (the cleaner the content, the better it will be. It will also have a better viewership),” said Salman Khan at the event.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the security risks it poses to artists, Salman added, “You have done it all – love making, kissing and exposing scenes. And when you enter your building, your watchman has also watched your work. I just don’t think that is right for security reasons. We don’t need to do that… Hindustan mein rehte hai, thoda boht theek hai lekin itna zyada beech mein ho gya tha. Ab jake thoda control mein aya hai (You don’t need to cross the boundary. We live in India. It was way too much before, finally, it has been curbed). Now, people have started working on a lot of good and decent content.”</p>

<p>Salman is known for never indulging in physical romance on the big screen. He has a no-kissing policy on the big screen and refrains from a lot of intimacy in films.&nbsp;</p>

The two actors will share the screen space once again in Yash Raj Films' upcoming spy thriller- <em>Tiger vs Pathaan. </em>The film is a part of YRF Spy Universe and the Khans will reprise their roles as Indian Intelligence officers Pathaan and Tiger. The film will be helmed by <em>War </em>and <em>Pathaan</em> director Siddharth Anand.&nbsp;<br />

Speaking to Variety, a source close to the project said, "Siddharth is getting a dream cast of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together for their first full-fledged film since<em> Karan Arjun</em>&nbsp;(1995),&nbsp;and Siddharth will also be given all the support he needs to mount <em>Tiger vs Pathaan</em>&nbsp;as the biggest film that India has ever produced."<br />

Pathaan box office collection Day 1: Shah Rukh Khan film scores biggest first-day haul for a Hindi film

<p>As Bollywood superstar Salman Khan turned a year older, he celebrated his birthday on Monday night with his friends from the film industry. In attendance were celebrities like Tabu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kartik Aaryan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Genelia D'Souza, Riteish Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan too made a fashionably late entry to the bash which was held at Salman's sister Arpita's home.&nbsp;<br />

While Salman came out to see off several of his guests, including SRK, a video of him and his ex-girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani doing the rounds of the internet. The video has Salman walking out of the building with Sangeeta while chatting with her. As the duo wait for her car to arrive, they hug first and then Salman plants a kiss on Sangeeta's forehead and says "I love you" before escorting her to the car.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For those coming in late, Salman and Sangeeta were in a relationship in the 1980s. The duo were in fact set to get married but called it off at the last moment. Bijlani, a former actress and model, eventually married former Indian Cricket team captain Mohammed Azharuddin but the pair separated a few years later. Sangeeta and Salman, meanwhile, remained friends and she is often seen attending various functions at the Khan household.&nbsp;<br />

In an earlier interview to Times Of India, Sangeeta had commented on her friendship with Salman and said, "Connections don’t break. Connections never go away. The love between your partners, and school friends never go away. People will come and go. Nobody will be permanent in life. That does not mean you feel bitter or angry. At one point, you evolve."</p>

<p>On Tuesday, a huge crowd gathered in front of Salman Khan's Mumbai residence as they waited to catch a glimpse of the star. Celebrations began in the morning outside his home and police had to be deployed to control the heavy crowd. Salman obliged his fans in the early evening as he came out to the balcony and waved at fans.&nbsp;</p>

The duo were in fact set to get married but called it off at the last moment. Bijlani, a former actress and model, eventually married former Indian Cricket team captain Mohammed Azharuddin but the pair separated a few years later. Sangeeta and Salman, meanwhile, remained friends and she is often seen attending various functions at the Khan household. In an earlier interview to Times Of India, Sangeeta had commented on her friendship with Salman and said, "Connections don’t break. Connections never go away. The love between your partners, and school friends never go away. People will come and go. Nobody will be permanent in life. That does not mean you feel bitter or angry. At one point, you evolve." On Tuesday, a huge crowd gathered in front of Salman Khan's Mumbai residence as they waited to catch a glimpse of the star. The two Bollywood stars eventually obliged the paps in the wee hours of Tuesday as SRK came out with birthday boy Salman Khan and hugged and posed together before SRK headed back home.&nbsp;<br />

Photos and videos of the actors hugging at the party are trending on social media since Tuesday morning.<br />
Meanwhile, Salman also cut a cake with the paparazzi stationed outside the venue. The actor greeted them with folded hands.&nbsp;</p>

Katrina Kaif, who is very close to Salman`s sister Arpita, visited her and paid respects to the deity. Not just Katrina but her husband Vicky Kaushal also made quite an appearance outside Arpita's house as he smiled for the paparazzi alongside his wife.<br />

Vicky and Kat were seen wearing different shades of yellow for the gathering. While Katrina looked elegant in a lime-yellow sharara, Vicky chose the darker shade of kurta that complimented his looks just perfectly!</p>
