<p>He also said that the team admitted her to MGM Hospital in Kalamboli for mental care and her mother, who is in Delhi, has been informed about the same. The family was concerned about her safety as she travelled all the way from Delhi to Navi Mumbai alone to marry Salman. <p>Suspected Somali pirates have boarded and hijacked a Sri Lankan fishing trawler with six crew in the latest attack against shipping in the Indian Ocean, Colombo’s navy said Sunday.</p>

<p>“Our information is that they were captured by Somali pirates,” said Sri Lankan navy spokesman Gayan Wickramasuriya, adding that the Lorenzo Putha–4 had been seized on Saturday some 840 nautical miles southeast of the Somali capital Mogadishu.</p>

<p>Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis have launched scores of attacks in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden targeting Israeli-linked vessels in response to Israel’s war against the Palestinian militant group Hamas.</p>

<p>International naval forces have been diverted north from the Gulf of Aden into the Red Sea, sparking fears of resurgent pirates exploiting the gap, with the first successful case of Somali piracy since 2017 recorded in December.</p>

<p>“Sri Lanka has alerted the Combined Maritime Forces,” Wickramasuriya told AFP, referring to the international anti-piracy coalition.</p>

<p>He said the navy of neighbouring India has&nbsp;already sent a warship to investigate, while the Sri Lankan navy was also preparing a vessel to travel to the area.</p>

<p>Pirate attacks off the Somali coast peaked in 2011 -- with the gunmen launching attacks as far as 3,655 kilometres (2,270 miles) from the Somali coast in the Indian Ocean -- before falling off sharply in recent years.</p>

<p>Last month, Somali pirates hijacked the bulk carrier MV Ruen.</p>

<p>The Bulgaria-owned and Malta-flagged vessel was seized by Somali pirates 380 nautical miles east of the Yemeni island of Socotra on December 16.</p>

<p>The pirates, who released one injured sailor into the care of the Indian navy, took the MV Ruen and its remaining 17 crew members to Somalia’s semi-autonomous state of Puntland.</p>

<p>Earlier this month, Sri Lanka announced it was joining a US-led maritime taskforce in the Red Sea to protect international shipping against attacks by the Houthis.</p>

<p>However, the cash-strapped island is yet to send a vessel.</p>

<p>President Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that Houthi attacks had raised freight costs and were impacting Sri Lanka’s exports of garments and tea.<br />

As per a press note, Salman will play Brigadier Farukh Bulsara. The film is based on a real story where the Brigadier led Operation Cactus in 1988 in the Maldives. Salman will be seen essaying the role of a paramilitary officer in the movie. The film will go on floors in February 2024 and will be released during Eid 2025.&nbsp;<br />

The Bull will present a retelling of Operation Cactus, wherein the Indian armed forces assisted the Maldives in reclaiming control of the state following a coup attempt led by businessman Abdullah Luthufi and the People’s Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE). The Indian forces efficiently neutralised the mercenaries and restored control to President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom’s government within hours.<br />

Salman is reportedly training for 3.5 hours every day to crack the physicality of the part.<br />

But now, reports have stated that Salman will be seen playing the lead role in Karan's new production The Bull. The shoot was kicked off with the mahurat shot in Mumbai on December 29. The film will be backed by Karan's Dharma Productions, and directed by Vishnu Vardhan of Shershaah fame. What is The Bull about? As per a press note, Salman will play Brigadier Farukh Bulsara. The film is based on a real story where the Brigadier led Operation Cactus in 1988 in the Maldives. Salman will be seen essaying the role of a paramilitary officer in the movie. The film will go on floors in February 2024 and will be released during Eid 2025. The Bull will present a retelling of Operation Cactus, wherein the Indian armed forces assisted the Maldives in reclaiming control of the state following a coup attempt led by businessman Abdullah Luthufi and the People’s Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE). The Indian forces efficiently neutralised the mercenaries and restored control to President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom’s government within hours. Salman is reportedly training for 3.5 hours every day to crack the physicality of the part. <p>The Kolkata International Film Festival opened amid great fanfare as Bollywood and Bengali actors shared the stage with West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and former cricketer Sourav Ganguly. The festival was inaugurated in the presence of Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Shatrughan Singha amd filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.&nbsp;<br />

The <em>Tiger 3</em> star and other actors were led to the stage by Mamata Banerjee for the formal inauguration of the festival. Salman alongside others lighted the lamp on stage to kickstart the festival.&nbsp;<br />

The high point of the event though was Salman making the CM dance. The actor looked dapper in an all-black suit.&nbsp;<br />

Mamata Banerjee surprised everyone as she was called by Salman Khan and others on stage and grooved to the tunes of this year's official festival film, which had been conceptualised by her. Arijit Singh has sung the song.<br />
