Salman Khan said the "original thought" was to bring the film to the halls "as many of them were getting shut down".</p>

<p>"This film is coming out on Eid, you will get a chance to watch it at home and when corona will go away, we will release it in the theatres," the 55-year-old actor told reporters in a roundtable interview from Mumbai.<br />

"Once everything is safe, we will release the film again in the theatres. We hope the film does well then too," he added.<br />

Khan, however, said he was "disappointed" for the theatre owners and the fans who like to watch his films on the big screen.<br />
"I'm very disappointed for that because I wish this film would have been seen in the theatres on Eid but it is not possible because of the current situation," the actor said.<br />

'Radhe' harks back to the character of Salman Khan's protagonist of the same name from his 2009 blockbuster 'Wanted', also directed by Prabhudheva.<br />

But the actor emphasised 'Radhe' was not the sequel and only has the "vibe" similar to 'Wanted'.<br />

"It's not a sequel to 'Wanted', it's just that the character's name is Radhe. Radhe was also in 'Tere Naam'. Prem (another one of his popular on-screen names) was also in a lot of films. The character (Radhe) has that vibe to it, that 'commitment' dialogue, reminiscing something for the fans. But this is a different film altogether," he added.<br />

If the audience liked 'Radhe', "we will bring out its sequel", Salman Khan promised.<br />

Last week, Zee Entertainment Enterprises and Salman Khan Films, the actor's production banner, pledged to provide support towards COVID-19 relief work across the country through the revenue generated from the upcoming film.<br />

Calling the decision "a very selfish" one, Salman Khan said whatever they are doing, "it will never be enough".<br />
<br />
"What if I need it someday? What if I need somebody like me to help me out at that time? So, it's not selflessness. I think we should all be like that. God forbid, when we ourselves are in trouble, there should be someone like you to help you out."<br />

The actor, who got his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in March, also shared that he will get his second jab "in the next 10 days".<br />
"Mum and dad took their second vaccination (shot) yesterday," he said of his parents veteran screenwriter Salim Khan and producer Salma Khan, adding that brother-producer Arbaaz Khan took his first shot on Sunday.<br />

Salman Khan also mentioned that his sister Arpita Khan Sharma had COVID-19 "long back".<br />

Later, in an Instagram post, Arpita said she tested positive for the virus in the beginning of April and was "asymptomatic".<br />
"I followed all the guidelines and protocols and thankfully with the grace of God I have fully recovered and have been well since. Stay safe, stay strong, stay positive," she added.<br />
<br />
The superstar further urged people to get tested once they have symptoms and start the treatment immediately.<br />
<br />
"That's the only way to survive this," he added.<br />

Salman Khan confirms his cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Pathan'

<p>In a major respite for Salman Khan, the Jodhpur District and Sessions Court on Thursday dismissed the plea of the Rajasthan State Government against the actor for allegedly presenting a false affidavit in connection with the Arms Act.</p>

<p>In a statement confirming the same,<a href="https://www.wionews.com/topics/salman-khan"> Salman Khan</a>'s lawyer, Hastimal Saraswat said, “The Jodhpur District and Sessions Court dismissed both the pleas of the State Government, in a detailed order. We had replied in 2006 itself that no false affidavits were presented and such pleas are being furnished only to disturb Salman.”</p>

<p>The state government’s plea was earlier dismissed by the lower court as well.</p>

His lawyer told the court that the affidavit was mistakenly submitted to the court on August 8, 2003, for which the actor should be forgiven.</p>

<p>Bollywood actor Salman Khan was arrested in 1998 for hunting two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur. At that time, a case under Arms Act was registered against him and the court had asked him to submit his arms licence.</p>

<p>The actor thus took to his social media profile and thanked his fans as he wrote, "To all my fans.. thank u for your love support n concern. Khayal rakho apna n parivaar ka. God bless n loveee u tooo..."</p>

<p>Rahman said he was drawn to 'Pippa' as its story had a “human connect.” “It’s about every family, and I instantly related with it. I am looking forward to working with Raja Krishna Menon, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur,” the 54-year-old composer said in a statement.</p>

<p>Pippa&nbsp;is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films. Rahman’s previous collaborations with Screwvala and Kapur have resulted in chartbuster soundtracks for films such as “Swades”, “Rang De Basanti”, “Jodhaa Akbar” and “Delhi-6”.</p>

<p>Screwvala said patriotic and inspiring music has been Rahman’s forte “since the beginning of his iconic career”.</p>

<p>Based on Mehta’s book “The Burning Chaffees”, the movie’s title is taken from the Russian amphibious war tank called the PT-76, popularly known as “Pippa”.</p>
