Sean 'Diddy' Combs denies raping minor in new motion to dismiss sexual assault case

Sean “Diddy” Combs

Sean "Diddy" Combs, along with former Bad Boy Entertainment president Harve Pierre, is facing a lawsuit accusing them and another individual labelled as "Third Assailant" of sexual assault. The lawsuit, filed by a woman identified as Jane Doe in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleges that Combs, Pierre, and the "Third Assailant" sex trafficked and gang-raped her when she was a minor.

In response to the allegations, Combs' lawyers have filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, calling it a "second attempt to state an entirely false and hideous claim against the Combs Defendants."

The motion, filed on Friday, May 10, asserts that the plaintiff's use of "trigger warning" in her pleading is "legally irrelevant" and is intended to "showcase a baseless and time-barred claim" designed to harm the defendants' reputations.

"Mr. Combs and his companies categorically deny Plaintiff’s decades-old tale against them, which has already caused incalculable damage to the reputations and business standing of the Combs Defendants, even before any evidence has been presented," the motion states.

The filing also argues that the plaintiff "cannot allege what day or time of year the alleged incident occurred," and calls for the case to be "dismissed now, with prejudice, to protect the Combs Defendants from further reputational injury and before more party and judicial resources are squandered."

This lawsuit is one of several sexual assault lawsuits that Combs has faced in recent months. In November 2023, Cassie, whom he dated on and off from 2007 to 2018, accused him of raping and abusing her over the course of their relationship. The lawsuit was settled the following day.

Combs was then accused of sexual assault by two other women. Joi Dickerson-Neal alleged that he drugged and raped her when she was a college student at Syracuse University in 1991. Another Jane Doe accused Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall of taking turns raping her and a friend in New York City more than 30 years ago.

In February, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a former producer and videographer, filed a lawsuit claiming that Combs sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him during their time working together.
