Ten people were injured, one seriously after a man opened fire at them in Columbus, Ohio early on Sunday (June 23), according to the police.
At 2:28 AM, police were sent to the location of the incident. Six victims were discovered in the city's Short North neighbourhood. According to a press statement issued by the Columbus Police Department, they were later informed that four more victims had been taken to hospitals.
According to the Columbus Police Department, the victims' ages vary from 16 to 27. The injured are being treated in three separate hospitals.
According reports, all of the victims of the shooting on Sunday seemed to be men and are expected to live.
Nine of the wounded were in stable condition as of Sunday morning, said the police.

Columbus Police Sgt. Joe Albert said a male suspect was located soon after the shooting, but the authorities lost him in a highway pursuit, the station reported. According to officials, the suspect was operating a white Honda Civic with tinted windows.
This is the third serious shooting in the arts district in less than a year. Two simultaneous shootings occurred overnight on May 6, 2023, killing at least ten persons, one of whom was shot by an officer.

About two weeks later, three individuals were killed in a mass shooting near the district, which also injured at least three others.
According to a tweet from the Columbus Division of Police, police are searching for a white, four-door Honda Civic with tinted windows that they suspect was involved in the incident.
