This museum gives experience of how 'bone-chilling' was Atlantic when Titanic drowned: Watch

Ever wondered how spine-chilling the water of the Atlantic Ocean was on the fateful night of April 15, 1912, when the tragic RMS Titanic drowned in it along with the passengers onboard?

A TitanicMuseum in Tennessee, United States, has now made it easy to imagine the bone-chilling tragedy by creating a replica of it and placing it as an exhibit for the visitors to come and experience it themselves in the museum.

A video was created of the visitors checking for how long they can continue to immerse their hands in this replica water, which is chilled at -2°C, and their reactions were such that the clip has gone viral.

The museum has 400 authentic Titanic artefacts, but what is standing out amongst all is now a bucket of water, which is at the icy temperature of -2°C.

The experience is aimed at making the visitors understand the freezing cold the passengers faced when the Titanic sank.

How museum visitors reacted in the video

In the viral video, three brave visitors dipped their hands in the icy-cold water and tested their endurance.

The video was shared on X by the account Spellbinding Odyssey and later reposted by Massimo. It has garnered more than 2 million views.

In the viral video, the first participant says, “Yes, that is bad. That is just a little rough,” as she dips her hand in the ice-cold water. She pulls back her hand in just 20 seconds.

Next, a man attempts to put his hand in the water but manages to hold it for only eight seconds as he says he is facing a “burning sensation” and declares, “I’m dead.”

The third participant says “Oh my God” as she tries to keep her hand submerged for some time.

Commenting on the video, one user said, “I can’t believe how quickly they reacted; that water must be absolutely freezing.”
