New Delhi, India
With the Lok Sabha elections drawing closer, the ruling party at the centre and the opposition are locked in a relentless war of words. In one such instance, a video is doing the rounds on social media where RJD's Tejashwi Yadav could be seen eating fish.
In this video, the BJP was seen targeting Yadav while saying that the RJD leader was eating fish on the occasion of Navratri. After the comments and criticism received from the BJP, the leader defended himself and said that he shared the clip because he wanted to "test the IQ of BJP leaders." Notably, in the video, Yadav could be seen eating fish with Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani on a helicopter.

The video was posted on social media platforms on April 9. Navratri, a Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of the goddess Durga and her various forms, started on April 9.
During Navratri, many Hindus observe fast and refrain from consuming non-vegetarian food as part of their religious practice. The Navratri fasting tradition varies, but a common practice is to avoid meat, fish, and eggs.
Yadav responds to BJP's taunts
Yadav responded to BJP's taunts by stating, “One thing that all should be clear about, from the last 3-4 days, I am continuously moving around with Mukesh Sahani. I posted it there because I wanted to take an IQ test of BJP leaders.”
"I have discussed the date of April 8 in the video. They don't have the knowledge and they never talk about issues like unemployment, migration and poverty. This is the test so that the people could know the reality of the people of BJP," he added.

VIP chief Mukesh Sahani joined Yadav in rebuking BJP's criticism.
Defending their choice of food, Sahani highlighted the date mentioned in the video as April 8 and questioned BJP's lack of substantive agendas. "If it's a thing to eat, shouldn't we eat?.. The date of April 8 is clearly there in the video. But the opposition has nothing in the name of agenda. It's about people's choice of what they want to eat..."

Meanwhile, Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a scathing attack on Tejashwi Yadav.
He labelled him a "seasonal sanatani". Singh said, “Tejashwi Yadav is a 'Seasonal Sanatani', many people be it Rohingyas or Bangladeshi infiltrators came here when his father (Lalu Yadav) was in power. They do politics of appeasement wearing the mask of Sanatan.”
“Lalu Yadav's party is a private limited company. It is their company and to whom they want to give the shares become shareholders. In Bihar, be it infiltrators or Rohingyas, a large number of them have their names on the voter list. I demand a mechanism that denies them the voting rights,” he added.
