Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has said that "nobody can stop Rahul Gandhi from becoming the Prime Minister of the country in 2019".

Siddaramaiah's remarks came during the 84th Plenary Session of Congress

The Congress party also hinted at forming an alliance to defeat the BJP-RSS in the 2019 elections.

The party resolved to adopt a "pragmatic approach" for cooperation with all like-minded parties and evolve a common workable programme.

Backing the functioning of Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Sachin Pilot has assured that the party will see big victories under his leadership.

He said, " To those who challenge us, I would say... as of now we have won by-polls under leadership of Rahul Gandhi, soon you'll see us winning states and in 2019 Congress will win the elections".

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge urged his party members and workers to collectively work for winning Karnataka polls.
