Exclusive: Here's the proof that Dawood Ibrahim lives in Karachi

Mumbai Crime Branch's Anti Extortion Cell (AEC) on Wednesday night arrested Dawood Ibrahim's nephew Rizwan.

Rizwan is presently in police custody after being arrested last night while he was trying to leave the county. He is Dawood's younger brother Iqbal Kaskar's son.

Earlier on Monday, the AEC had arrested one Ahmad Raza Vadhariya, a close aide of gangster Fahim Machmach who is wanted in India and is accused in several high profile extortion cases.

Raza, who has links with Kaskar's son Rizwan, was apprehended at the Mumbai International Airport on his return from Dubai.

According to sources, Raza is very close to Shakeel and Fahim Machmach and allegedly used to handle their hawala business in Mumbai, Thane and Surat.

The crime branch sources revealed that they are looking for the people working for him at three major cities and are expecting to get a breakthrough from him.

Earlier this month, India’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in UN Security Council, Syed Akbaruddin, stated that a there has been a "mutation of Dawood Ibrahim’s criminal syndicate into a terrorist network known as the D-Company".

Akbaruddin further added that the illegitimate economic activities of this entity from a "safe haven" are known to the outside world, however, "for us, such activities as gold smuggling, counterfeit currency, arms and drug trafficking from a safe haven that declines to acknowledge even his existence, are a real and present danger," he noted.
