GES 2017: You don't need to be a Miss World to make a difference, says Miss World Manushi Chillar

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 was a hit even on its second day. The summit opened up with exemplary personalities speaking on the cause of women empowerment, women entrepreneurship and equal representation of women in different fields. Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the President of the United States; Cherie Blair, Founder, Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, CBE, QC; Chanda Kochhar, Managing Director and CEO, ICICI Bank, Limited,; Karen Quintos, Chief Customer Officer, Dell EMC; Tennischampion Sania Mirza, Cricketer Mithali Raj, Celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna, Actress Aditi Rao Hydari, Bollywood Producer/Director Ronnie Screwvala and Rajya Sabha MPDr Suchash Chandra were some of the many delegates present as speakers at various GES events.

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar was humbled when given an opportunity to speak at the event. "It is the first time I am speaking at such a huge level in front of dignitaries and entrepreneurs," she shared.

"It is extremely important to keep women involved in the business because the prosperity of women is the prosperity of the society."

She shared that as a doctor and Miss World she shares the same responsibilities - to serve others and do good. "I would have done the same had I not won the title," she shared. Manushi thanked Miss World for giving her an opportunity to help people and communities, "It has given me a chance to give back to the society," she noted.

Manushi Chillar has been working actively on menstrual hygiene in India and strongly votes for women's rights and empowerment.
