Taking to Twitter on March 19, the filmmaker wrote about rescheduling his next film with the Piku stars, Khan and Padukone. Calling Irrfan a warrior, Bhardwaj wrote: "Pushing back film by a few months, @irrfank down with jaundice and @deepikapadukone with resurfaced back issue caused during Padmaavat. While prepping, was transported to Maqbool days. Stunning look tests, can’t wait to start shoot . Sending pyaar & duaaen to my Ustara and Afshan."
This is what Bhardwaj posted:
Irrfan is a warrior and we know he will conquer this battle. Therefore @deepikapadukone, Prernaa @kriarj and I have decided to reschedule our film and start with renewed energy and celebration when our warrior returns as a winner.— Vishal Bhardwaj (@VishalBhardwaj) March 19, 2018
Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone were all set to start shooting for the film earlier this month in Nepal.
Khan had earlier posted on Twitter about his rare disease, NeuroEndocrine Tumour for which he is currently out of the country. Read his full statement here. The disease was understood by most as brain cancer but it means completely different. Know more about NeuroEndocrine Tumour here.
