A Hilarious take on husbands and TV serials

The trailer focuses on a group of friends and their wives. Their everyday life takes a turn for the worse when a new TV series begins airing and possesses their wives for its duration. Things quickly start to unravel, and the husbands are forced to approach a tantric, played by Samantha, for help.

The nearly three-minute-long trailer is hilarious and explores the mentality of husbands who feel the need to control every aspect of their wives' lives, and takes a dig at the toxic and regressive nature of most Indian TV serials.

A deadly experiment gone wrong

Whoever came up with that idea hasn't seen any horror movies. The events of the show kick off after the ship crash-lands on Earth after the Xenomorph gets loose. A group of space marines is sent to deal with it, and now it looks like they will be facing off against a lot more.

Could an Alien V Predator project be in the cards?

Now, this may be a wishful thing, but it would drive fans wild if one of the other alien species turned out to be a Predator, setting up another clash between the two monsters or at least leading into one in the future. The idea is not far-fetched after all, both the Alien and Predator franchises have been going through a revival and have a few planned movies and TV shows in their lineup, so another showdown between the two could be in the cards.

American political commentator and former Fox News host Megyn Kelly stirred controversy once again during her appearance at this year's TIME100 Gala in New York, where she took aim at actress Blake Lively’s inclusion on the list and criticised her accusations against co-star Justin Baldoni.

Kelly Calls Lively's allegations "Fake"

While speaking on the red carpet, Kelly did not hold back, questioning Lively's influence and credibility.

“She’s only here because she’s a celebrity,” Kelly said bluntly. “She has no influence over anything. She launched a fake MeToo allegation… She’s lived to regret doing it because virtually every allegation she has made has fallen apart. And so for her to be honoured for doing that — to try to ruin a man over absolutely nothing — is a scandal.”

Kelly further added, “Obviously, TIME is looking for big stars to come here and generate pages on their magazines, but that was very wrong. I have a feeling [Lively is] going to be avoiding me. I won’t be avoiding anybody. I’m good.”

Hashmi on the technical brilliance of the show

Speaking with News18, Emraan Hashmi talked about the technical brilliance of the show, saying, “Adolescence has worked mostly because of its subject matter – the pitfalls of growing up in these times and social media. But inherently, it’s such a risky project because it’s just four episodes where each one is shot in a single take."

He went on to explain why making the show in India would be difficult, saying, “If you put that across to a producer over here, I would say that nine out of ten of them would tell you, ‘Are you out of your mind?’ It would be a logistical nightmare. 13 minutes into a shot, someone may goof up, and we would’ve to do the entire thing again. What would happen to the budget? We would need a director who leads the team, to be audacious and mad enough to make a show that way."

Shreya shares an emotional tribute

Shreya Ghoshal also expressed her heartbreak on Instagram, writing, “I can't stop thinking about Pahalgam. About the silence that must've followed the chaos. About the families whose worlds will never be the same again. It breaks my heart to know that lives were lost in such a beautiful, peaceful place, lives that had nothing to do with violence, yet became its victims. This is a wound to the soul of our nation. My heart goes out to every family shattered by this senseless violence. We grieve with you. And we will remember.”
