Madhavan, Dia's RHTDM to re-release in theatres after 23 years

It’s going to be an exciting week for cinema lovers as Hindi filmmakers are pushing more number of iconic films to hit theatres. Finding a slot every time there’s no big budget film releasing in theatres like the coming week, we have some big re-releases like Gangs of Wasseypur and Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.
The cult romantic drama starring R Madhavan and Dia Mirza is scheduled to reopen in theatres on August 30. Making the announcement, Pooja Entertainment confirmed that RHTDM will get a re-release in theatres on August 30. They shared a video reel of the film showing a younger Dia, Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan from the movie. The company captioned its post: "23 years later, love finds its way back to the big screen. Relive the magic of timeless romance with #RehnaaHaiTerreDilMein! (hearts and hand-shaped-heart emojis) Re-Releasing in Cinemas THIS FRIDAY 30th August 2024! Are you excited?”

RHTDM to re-release in theatres
The film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein was first released in 2001. The film marked the Bollywood debut of Dia Mirza and R. Madhavan. They made for a great onscreen pair.
R Madhavan had established himself as an actor in Tamil, Kannada, and English films. He had also done some Hindi television shows before he ventured into Hindi films. The romantic drama, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, was a remake of his own Tamil film Minnale released in the same year. In the Tamil version, Madhavan's character was played by Abbas and Dia's character by Reema Sen.
RHTDM will re-release on August 30, 2024.
Gangs of Wasseypur to release in theatres again
In addition, Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2 will also release on the same date and will be up for watching in select cinemas from August 30 to September 5.
