
Earning great reviews for its storyline, acting and presentation, Marvel's Black Panther also proves itself at the box office.
With actor Chadwick Boseman in the lead role, the Disney-Marvel movie has become the highest opening Hollywood debut superhero film in India.The film has opened to approximately Rs 15 crore weekend at the Indian box office. This is also the biggest opening for any Hollywood film in India in 2018.
In the United States, the film has receivedthe fifth-biggest opening of all time by raking in a whopping $192 million (Rs 1239.45 crore) in the first weekend.
Black Panther directed byAfrican-American Ryan Coogler has broken all previous records.
Interestingly, the filmBlack Panther is the first Marvel film to be led by a person of colour -- Chadwick Boseman -- and featuring a virtually all-black cast with Michael B Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira, with Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman being a few exceptions.
