A day after the Lebanon-based militant groupHezbollah confirmed the death of its chiefHassan Nasrallah in Israeli airstrike, his body was recovered on Sunday (Sep 29) from the site of the air attack on Beirut's southern suburbs and was intact, reported news agency Reuters, citinga medical source and a security source.
Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was killed on Friday in a specifically targeted Israeli airstrikeon Beirut as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intensified the attacks on Lebanon.
The two sources said that Nasrallah's body had no direct wounds and that it appeared the cause of death was blunt trauma from the force of the blast, reported Reuters.
Following Nasrallah's death, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel had "settled the account" with a "mass murderer".
"We settled the score with the one responsible for the murder of countless Israelis and many citizens of other countries, including hundreds of Americans and dozens of French," said the Israeli PM.

This comes after Netanyahu is said to have issued the directive to neutralise Nasrallah, as Hezbollah would have regenerated if he had been allowed to live.
