Delhi police on Friday (May 31) posted a snappy wisecrack in response to a social media user on X who had asked them to help him find a girlfriend. The reply has since gone viral and garnered over 300,000 views on the platform, making social media users laugh out loud.
On Delhi Police’s World No Tobacco Day post, X user Shivam Bhardwaj responded with a hilarious comment that had no connection with the original message: “Meri girlfriend kab banwaoge? Main abhi signal Hoon Delhi police. This is not fair you should help me to find a girlfriend for me (When will you help me find a girlfriend? I am a signal, Delhi Police),” Shivam said in his post.
Sir, we can help you find her (only if she ever goes missing).
Tip: If you are a 'signal', we hope you stay green, not red. https://t.co/3wHDwGxlEl — Delhi Police (@DelhiPolice) May 31, 2024

As for the "signal" part in his post, Shivam seemingly meant that he is currently single.
In response, the Delhi Police, adding a witty tip, wrote, "Sir, we can help you find her (only if she ever goes missing) Tip: If you are a 'signal', we hope you stay green, not red."
Many social media users had a hearty laugh at the clever remark and most labelled it “epic”, while others responded with emojis.
