India and Australia have played a total of 136 One Day International matches and Australia have had the better of India in 77, while India have managed to win 49 matches.

At the World Cup's, India and Australia have battled each other 11 times, out of which Australia have dominated India and beat them 8 out of 11 times.

India last won against Australia in the 2011 World Cup Quarter Finals, knocking Australia out of the tournament.

India would have to bring their A-game on Sunday as when the last time both the teams clashed during the ODI series in India, Australia staged a miraculous comeback from being 2-0 down to winning the series 3-2.
