Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who is currently recuperating from a lower left leg injury, is 'making good progress,' said the team on Wednesday. Curry has started on-court workouts involving no-contact shooting after missing five games due to the injury and will be evaluated again after a week, the Warriors said. The Golden State Guard suffered partial tears to his superior tibiofibular ligaments and interosseous membrane along with a contusion to his left lower leg after he collided with Dallas Mavericks' McKinley Wright IV knee-to-knee earlier this month. Warriors coach Steve Kerr also acknowledged that the team is going to be without Curry for the foreseeable future.

"We know we are going to be without Steph for the foreseeable future, so same thing as what happened the last time he went down ... we patch things together," Kerr said. "The guys strung together a five-game winning streak. We held down the fort. That's the plan this time, too," he added. Kerr also said that as the team heads into the final 24 games of the regular season without the key players, "we've got to make sure we're tightening things up."
Curry also spoke about his potential return and said that it all depends on how the injury heals. "It's all dictated around how this heals," he said. "This is different than the shoulder, where it was pretty predictable where I would be able to get to a point where I could play and not re-injure it or put myself in jeopardy out there on the floor," added the Warriors guard.
