D Roopa, the Karnataka police officer who alleged that VK Sasikala received preferential treatment in Bengaluru Central Prison by paying a bribe, was transferred on Monday.
Roopa has been transferred to the traffic department as the Inspector General of Police and Commissioner for Traffic and Road Safety.
A recent report by DIG (Prisons) Roopa had asserted that a bribe worth Rs. 2 crore was given to the prison officials, including director central of prisons HN Satyanarayana Rao, by Sasikala in order to avail special facilities in Parappana Agrahara central prison.
