
The Police Commissioner VVSrinivasa Rao has issued a prohibitory order banning processions, dharnas, rallies including motorcycle rally or public meeting, ahead the anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid at Ayodhya, media reports.
Carrying of arms like swords, spears, knives, sticks with or without flags bludgeons, guns explosives and other offensive weapons are also prohibited in an order effective from 6 am of December 6 to 6 am of December 12.
The order came after an information that certain groups were intending communal disturbances in the city.
The ban will stay from 6 am of December 5 to 6 amof December 6.
Any person who will be seen as violating the order will be prosecuted said Police Commissioner.
Police officers and personnel on duty, military personnel, home guards and bonafide funeral procession are exempted from the ban order.
Use of mics and public address are also prohibited around secretariat, Nizam college, NTR Marg roads and few other government buildings.
The supreme court is likely to commence its final hearing in the long-standing Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute from today, a day before the 25th anniversary of the demolition of the medieval-era structure.
