
Incessant rainfall in Mumbai hasdisrupted flight operations at the Indian city'sChhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. This has prompted several airlines toissue advisories as persistent rains have been causing delays.
Major airlines including IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet are facing delays and cancellations of flights as heavy downpours are continuously causing visibility issues for flights in Mumbai and nearby regions.
IndiGo Airlines has stated, "We are relentlessly working to ensure smooth operations and expect these delays to significantly reduce once the weather improves."

Air India has also alerted its passengers through an advisory saying flight operations from and to Mumbai may get affected due to torrential rains. The airline is also offering full refunds or rescheduling for the flights cancelled.
"Heavy rains in Mumbai are affecting flight operations and resulting in cancellation and diversion of some of our flights. Air India is offering full refunds or a one-time complimentary rescheduling for bookings confirmed for travel on 25th July 2024," the advisory stated. "Please check your flight status before heading to the airport."
Air India has also advised passengers to leave for the airport early as roads may be waterlogged and jammed causing travel delays.
SpiceJet also issued a similar advisory stating, "Due to bad weather (heavy rain) in Mumbai (BOM), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may get affected. Passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status."

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a "red" alert for Mumbai and nearby areas including, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar for Thursday (Jul 25).
Heavy rainshave wreaked havoc inthe Indian financial capitaland led tothe uprooting of trees, waterlogging, and delays in train and flight operations.
The Santacruz observatory recorded 68.1 mm of rain, Colaba recorded 62.5 mm, and Thane observed 120.4 mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
Heavy rain and strong winds resulted in low visibility halting the flight operations for about 20 minutes at the Mumbai international airport on Thursday.
