PM Modi on Saturday kicked-off BJP's Membership Drive in his Parliamentary constituency Varanasi. Shortly after reaching the city, the prime minister in his address praised centre's $5 trillion economy growth goal and said that the 'New India' is yearning to run on the path of growth.

In his address, the prime minister urged people to stop the wastage of water and conserve it.

"More than the availability of water, the wastage and careless use of water are bigger problems. So be it use in homes or for irrigation, we have to stop the wastage of water," he said.

"In the budget, we gave direction to achieve the goal of $5 trillion economy and decisions related to it were announced.
