Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (Nov. 17) appreciated the film The Sabarmati Reportfor helping clear the 'fake narratives'.
Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, "Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it."
"A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!," the prime minister added.

The prime minister was reacting to a post from a social media user who listed the reasons for watching the film.

All about 'The Sabarmati Report'
The Sabarmati Reportis a drama-thriller film starring Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra. The movie is based on the 2002 Godhra train burning incident in Gujarat in which 59 people were killed.
The movie has been produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, along with Anshul Mohan and Amul V Mohan and has been directed by Dheeraj Sarna.
Speaking to the PTI, actoe Vikrant Massey, who plays a journalist in the film, spoke about the challenges he faced.

"I have been receiving threats. Without drawing attention to it, it is something which I am dealing with and we, as a team, collectively are dealing with," Massey said.
On February 27, 2002, the 2002 Godhra train burningincident took place when some people attacked the Sabarmati Express near Godhra station in Gujarat.
The train was running from Muzaffarpur in Bihar to Ahmedabad in Gujarat and was carrying pilgrims coming back from Ayodhya.
Hundreds of karsevaks (religious volunteers) were travelling on the Sabarmati Express. They had attended a Purnahuti Yajna in Ayodhya which was held by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and was connected to the Ram temple movement.
One coach of the train, S-6, was set on fire which resulted in the death of 59 passengers.
