'Air Force has the capability to locate, fix and strike across the border,' Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa said

The Indian Air Force can "locate, fix, and strike" Pakistan's nukes, IAF chief BS Dhanoa said Thursday.

"IAF is prepared to fight at short notice in full synergy with other two sister services, should the need arise," Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa said.

"Men & women under my command fully prepared to undertake full spectrum of air ops and respond to any challenge in befitting manner," he added.

Dhanoa was speaking at the IAF's annual press conference in Delhi.

The "IAF has capability to carry out full spectrum of air ops," Dhanoa said.

Dhanoa added that the decision to carry out a "surgical strike" lay with the government.

Dhanoa also mentioned "peace-time losses" suffered by his force, saying they were a "cause of concern".

"Our losses during peace time are cause of concern. We are making concentrated efforts to minimise accidents and preserve our assets," he said.
