Five policemen and three civilians were injured in a grenade blast at Pulwama area of south Kashmir on Friday.
Suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards police station Pulwama resulting in injuries to eight persons including five policemen. Soon after the attack, cops opened fire.
“We have received eight persons with splinter injuries most of them are policemen”, a doctor at the district hospital Pulwama said.
SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Choudary told that militants attacked a naka party of police outside the police station.
Searches have been launched to nab the attackers.
