Yash’s Toxic postponed amid rising tensions in the Middle East; new release date inside

The much-anticipated action drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, has been officially postponed. The makers, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, announced on Tuesday that the film’s global release has been rescheduled from March 19, 2026, to June 4, 2026, amid the escalating tensions and regional instability in the Middle East.

Initially, the film was slated for a global release later this month. However, due to advisories from distribution partner Phars Films, the decision was made. The Gulf region is considered a key market for Toxic's multi-language international rollout, and ongoing disruptions prompted the producers to reassess their plan.

Trailer launch put on hold

The announcement was made at a time when the team was preparing for the trailer launch event planned for March 8 in Bengaluru. The trailer unveiling has now been deferred to a later date.

Even though the film’s first single, ‘Tabaahi,’ was ready for its scheduled debut on 2nd March, the makers chose to hold the music video and momentarily pause the promotional rollout, which was locked and to be activated within a day or two.

Official statement from the makers

"Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is a film we conceptualized with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world," an official statement from KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations read. "After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March. However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience."

The post further said, “Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release. We thank you for your understanding and patience and look forward to your continued love and support.”

About Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups

Toxic features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in key roles alongside Yash. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will also have dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Currently, Toxic is expected to be released worldwide on June 4, 2026.
