The Malayalam language espionage thriller Patriot, helmed by Mahesh Narayanan and starring Mammootty and Mohanlal, is all set to release on the OTT platform soon. The film had created a massive buzz as it marked the reunion of two of Malayalam cinemas' biggest superstars. The streaming platform announced it on social media, the release date.

Streaming platform Zee5 took to its Instagram page and shared a clip from the film and wrote in the caption, "When data becomes the most powerful weapon, one mistake can change everything! Patriot premieres on June 5th on Malayalam Zee5."
Fans flooded the comment section expressing their excitement and one user wrote, "Multi starrers are back to Rock." Another user wrote, "ZEE5 Mammootty Movie Petery Mohanlal Super Super." "Mammootty movie Pettery Visit Kerala Super Kerala Visit Kerala Super OTT super", wrote the third.
All about Patriot
The Malayalam-language political spy thriller Patriot was released globally in theatres on May 1. It explores the themes of mass civilian surveillance, digital privacy and state overreach. The original songs and background score were composed by Sushin Shyam. The project marked the collaboration between actors Mammootty and Mohanlal after 13 years since Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty (2013).
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s domestic net collection in India stands at Rs 31.39 crore, while international markets dominated its earnings with Rs 43.25 crore. Reportedly, Patriot grossed approximately Rs 79.66 crore.
