It was a night of celebration as India clinched the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy. On Saturday, the Indian cricket team won their second T20 World Cup after 17 years as they defeated South Africa by 7 runs at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
In thenail-biting final,Virat Kohli was named the man of the matchafterscoring76 runs off 59 balls. After the historic win, Kohli's wife and Bollywood actress Anushka lauded her husband and the entire team for theirachievement.
Sharma, who was not present at the stadium, was enjoying the match from her home with her daughter Vamika. After the team's win, the Zero actress shared a slew of photos of the Indian team from last night praising their phenomenal victory.
Mentioning her daughter Vamika's concern, she wrote, ''Our daughter’s biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv….. In a separate Instagram post, the actress shared a photo of Virat carrying the World Cup trophy along with a heartfelt note. Gushing over her husband, she wrote, ''I love this man ❤️@virat.kohli. So grateful to call you my home ❤️ - now go have a glass of sparkling water for me to celebrate this ! 😉😘.''
After the big win, Kohli announced his retirement from his T20 international career.
The actress's post garnered a wide range of reactions from her and Virat's millions of fans and their friends from the industry.
Celebrating the win,Priyanka Chopra expressed her emotions through emojis as she commented on Anushka's post.
