Ranveer Singh says Singham Again marks the debut of his daughter- Baby Simmba

At the star-studded trailer launch event of Singham Again, Ranveer Singh revealed that the film is special for him in more ways than one. Rohit Shetty's Singham Again is a multi-starrer and has Ajay Devgn returning to the Singham franchise as Bajirao Singham for the third time. It also features Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as cops.

While Ranveer Singh returns to play Simmba in the film, Deepika Padukone makes her debut as 'Lady Singham' in the Shetty's Cop universe. Interestingly, Padukone was pregnant while filming Singham Again.

At the trailer launch event of the film on Monday, Ranveer said, "There are so many stars in our film, but let me tell you, this is my baby's debut- Baby Simmba- because Deepika was pregnant during the shooting."

Ranveer: Deepika is busy with our baby so that's why she couldn't attend, I have night duty today so I am able to attend. Deepika was pregnant during the shoot, so this is actually our Babys debut! There were speculations about Deepika attending the event but the actress, who delivered a baby girl in September, gave the event a skip. "Deepika is busy with the baby. So she couldn't come. My duty is at night, so I came," revealed new dad Ranveer Singh.

Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Ravi Kishan were also seen in attendance at the trailer launch.

At the box office, Singham Again will face off with horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which features Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri and has been directed by Anees Bazmee.
