In a joint statement issued to the media, the couple said, "We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed and we thank our well-wishers for their love and blessings! Love, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal"
Earlier this week, Richa shared monochrome dreamy photos of her maternity shoot where the two could be seen lovingly gazing at Richa's baby bump.

Richa and Ali met on the sets of Fukrey in 2013 and hadstarted dating. They tied the knot in September 2022. Earlier this year, they shared the news about pregnancy in a joint post that read “1+1=3.” They captioned it, "A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world.”
'It's a privilege'
Richa was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The actress was seen promoting the show extensively throughout her pregnancy. While speaking to WION, the actress had said that it was a 'privilege' to be able to work during one's pregnancy. "Our moms did it. I honestly don't want to make a big deal about it."
Richa's husband, Alia Fazal, who has been part of several Hollywood films including Victoria and Abdul, was recently seen in the third season of Mirzapur where he reprised the role of Guddu Bhaiya.
