The Durga puja festival is coming to itsconclusion and our two Bollywood divas, Rani Mukerji and Kajol, are bidding farewell to Goddess Durga by performing a ritual known asindoor khela (vermillion play)

Every year, Rani and Kajol along with their entire family celebrate the Durga puja festival with much zeal and excitement. For the unversed, the family of two actresses organises one of the biggest Durga Puja pandals, known as North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja, at SNDT Women’s University in Juhu, Mumbai.

On Saturday (Oct 12), Rani and Kajol participatedin the tradition known as sindoor khela, the last day of Durga Puja festivities.

Dressed to the nines, the Bengali beauties were looking gorgeous in traditional attires. The Mardaani actress, paying tribute to her Bengali roots, wore a cream silk saree with a bright red blouse. She draped her saree in a Bengali style.

The actress accessorised her look with golden jewellery and a traditional shakha pola (red and white bangles). She was captured worshipping goddess Durga and applying vermillion to the idol, as well as to other people present on the stage.

Kajol also chose to wear a traditional Bengali red and white saree. Although, she draped the saree in a contemporary way with an open palla.She kept her hair open with subtlemakeup, a bindi, and red lipstick.

In the viral photos and videos, both actresses can be seen enjoying the last day as they were seen smearingvermillion on everyone present at the pandal.

In another video, Kajol's sister Tanisha Mukerji and Rani are seen applying vermillion on each other's faces and on other Mukerji family members.

Over the last four days, several celebrities, includingAlia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Rhea Chakraborty, and Sumona Chakravarti, among others, have visited the pandal to seek blessings from the Goddess Durga.
