'Don't see them...,' PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi on India traveling to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025
Champions Trophy 2025: ICC approves hybrid model after long saga, India to play in Dubai
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi is confident of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sending India team to the neighbouring country for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Pakistan are scheduled to host the ICC tournament from February to March next year but India's participation is under clouds given the political tensions between the two countries.
"The Indian team should come. I don't see them cancel or postpone coming here and we are confident we will host all the teams in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan," he said in Lahore, as reported by cricket news website ESPNCricinfo.
The PCB has selected three venues for the tournament, i.e., Karachi's National Stadium, Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
As per the latest schedule reports, PCB has marked Lahore as the venue for all of India's matches, including the semi-final and final in case India make that far.

The stadiums are currently going under renovation and Naqvi said that the venues should be ready for the event.
"The stadiums will also be ready to host the matches on schedule and any remaining work would be completed after the tournament. In a way, you can say that we are going to have a brand new stadium," said Naqvi.
The PCB has allotted PKR 12.80 billion ($49 million) for three ICC Champions Trophy 2025 venues' upgradation. The International Cricket Council (ICC), has approved a budget of around $70 million for the tournament.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah commented on the board’s stance of sending Team India across the border in a recent chat with Times of India (TOI).
“No stand as of now. We will cross the bridge when it comes,” he said.
Per the draft schedule submitted to ICC, India is placed in Group A alongside the hosts Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand.
