Pakistan said on Thursday Afghan nationals carried out two deadly suicide bombings in its territory this week, amid sharpening tensions between the South Asian neighbours over militant violence.
The involvement of Afghans in the attacks - one outside a courthouse in the capital on Tuesday, the other at a military school the day earlier - was "our major, serious concern," Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi told parliament.

The controversy began when Team India refused to accept the trophy and medals from Naqvi during the post-match presentation after defeating Pakistan in the final of Asia Cup 2025.

The appointment, however, trumps the weirdness when PCB had appointed umpire Aleem Dar as one of its officials not long ago and it generated a lot of criticism. It remains to be seen how the latest move works out for both, the PCB and the players.

According to a media report, the ACC has finalised November 10 as the formal date to host the presentation ceremony where India will receive the trophy.

There's a meeting scheduled next month but chances are less that a resolution would be reached. Additionally, the BCCI has decided to take up the matter in ICC meeting next month as well and it remains to be seen what the apex body does in the matter.

Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and president of the Asian Cricket Council, has strongly denied reports that he apologised to the BCCI. Naqvi made it clear he has never done so and never will. He added that India can collect the Asia Cup trophy directly from the ACC office.
