IPL 2024: WATCH | KKR's Ramandeep takes PARELLEL TO GROUND catch vs LSG; leaves owner SRK in awe

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player Ramandeep Singh took a stunning catch during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 14. LSG's Deepak Hooda had to go back after the sensational catch parallel to the ground.

The catch was taken in 5th over bowled by KKR's multi-million dollar pacer Mitchell Starc for the second LSG wicket inside the powerplay. Have a look at the wicket below:

This was Starc's first of three wickets in the match. He also dismissed LSG's Nicholas Pooran in the last over of Lucknow's innings before shattering stumps of Arshad Khan on the last ball. Starc, bought for nearly $3 million in the auction by KKR, finished with 3/28 in four overs - his best in the season so far.

As for the match against KKR, Lucknow kept losing wickets at regular interval despite a modest run-rate. LSG were 111/5 in 15th over before Nicholas Pooran scored a handy 32-ball 45 to lift his team to 161/7 in 20 overs.

At the top, LSG skipper KL Rahul scored 39 off 27 and during his stay, he became the fifth Indian batter to hit 300 or more sixes in all T20s

Rahul, who hit two sixes in his innings, now has exact 300 sixes in 217 T20 games. Ahead of him are, Suresh Raina (325 T20 sixes in 336 matches), MS Dhoni (328 sixes in 382 T20 games), Virat Kohli (383 sixes in 382 T20s), and Rohit Sharma (497 sixes in 431 matches).

Ofhis 300 sixes, 178 have come in the IPL where he has played for multiple franchises before becoming LSG skipper. He has previously played for Kings XI Punjab, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and SunRisers Hyderabad as well since making his debut in 2013.
