Forty people were killed and 60 others were injured following an Israeli strike on a humanitarian zone in Khan Yunis, Gaza's civil defence agency said on Tuesday (Sep 10). As per the agency, the attack struck the Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone. However, the Israeli military claimed that it targeted a Hamas command centre in the area.
In Pakistan, the police on Monday arrested top leaders of former jailed prime minister Imran Khan's party the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The arrests came following clashes between protesters and law enforcement near a rally in Islamabad demanding Khan's release.
In other news from around the world, the Frenchman who has been accused of drugging his wife and inviting multiple men to rape her claimed the crimes were committed by him because his wife did not agree to the idea of "swinging".
