
A man has taken two people hostage at a business centre in Paris.
The French police said the incident did not appear to be terrorism-related.
Police said the man had asked to communicate with the Iranian embassy so that they could convey a message to the French government.
Reports said the mandoused petrol on the hostages.The man is reportedly armed and holding at least two people.
"Officials will be trying to start a negotiation with the man," police union official Yves Lefebvre told BFM TV.
There is no information yet about the exact profile of the hostage-taker.
