Prince Harry and actress-girlfriend Meghan Markle announced their engagement on Monday.

In an interview with BBC One post-announcement, Prince Harry revealed that he proposed to now-fiance Meghan Markle over a roast chicken while fixing a meal in the kitchen. The couple was reportedly enjoying their time on a "standard, typical night" in their cottage.
Gushing on the proposal, Markle said, “It was so sweet and natural and very romantic...he got on one knee.”
She added “As a matter of fact, I could barely let you finish proposing. I said, ‘Can I say yes now’?”

According to Prince Harry, he didn't even have time to give her the ring before she said yes and hugged him.
"It was a really nice moment," he said. "It was just the two of us and I think managed to catch her by surprise as well."
Prince Harry also spoke about the "fantastic support" he received from his family. He even said that his mother, Princess Diana, would have loved his new fiance, too. He said, "I'm sure she's with us, yeah, you know, jumping up and down somewhere else."
The royal couple, after dating for one and a half years made their first official public appearance in September in Toronto while attending Invictus Games 2017.
They were introduced to each other by a mutual friend.
The two are set to be married in spring of 2018.
