Iran: Nations Joining the Economic War Will Be Considered Enemies

Iran has issued a stark warning to countries considering joining the United States’ campaign of economic pressure against Tehran, saying nations that participate in the “economic war” will be considered enemies. The warning was issued by Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
Rezaei specifically warned neighbouring countries against cooperating with Washington’s efforts to isolate the Iranian economy. He said Iran could retaliate against countries that assist the U.S. campaign and target their interests.
The warning comes after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a major new economic campaign against Iran, with Washington preparing additional sanctions aimed at increasing pressure on Tehran.
