Hungarian researchers study 20 dogs & their human companions

A new Science study by researchers at Hungary’s Eötvös Loránd University suggests dogs process human speech with a “consonant bias,” focusing more on consonant sounds than vowels. Researchers say this helps dogs break continuous speech into distinct words, in a process similar to how human infants learn language.
