Watch: Musk's AI now makes him and Trump armed robbers in new deepfake videos

Screengrab of the deepfake videos of Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

The AI system of X CEO Elon Musk, Grok, has now created deepfake videos of him carrying out armed robbery along with former United States president Donald Trump, which appeared too realistic.

Days after Musk held a glitch-ridden interview with Trump, his own AI technology, Grok, has been used by people to create videos of both carrying out criminal activities.

AI Visuals studio The Dor Brothers created an AIdeepfake video which depicted Musk, Trump and many other world leaders as criminals.

Grok, the artificial intelligence chatbot, which has been developed by Musk’s company xAI, has been used to create the video, which shows Musk looting a convenience store at gunpoint.

Musk was then seen in handcuffs, taken by police officers in the AI-generated video.

Adding a caption to the video, the makers wrote, “Somebody said uncensored? Thank you @grok for letting us all have some fun.”

In the other Grok-generated videos, Trump and Kamala Harris were also seen committing crimes.

Here's how netizens reacted to viral deepfake videos

Some of the social media users expressed concern over how realistic the video appeared to be and wondered if there will be a time when it will be difficult to differentiate between deepfake and real footage.

“AI has gotten so crazy! Who knows what's real anymore,” wrote a user.

“So this is the terrifying part. No matter what side you're on, even if there were real video evidence of people committing crimes, it can be dismissed as AI," another user stated.

“This tech is getting better and better all the time. Lots of people will be easily fooled/manipulated," wrote a third user.

“We opened the door and invited this in," commented a fourth user. “We’re about 1 model update away from totally believable deepfakes," argued a fifth user.
