<p>Former England captain Michael Vaughan has praised India’s rising star Yashasvi Jaiswal after playing an important role in India’s crucial win in the second Test match in Vizag.&nbsp;Yashasvi Jaiswal, having scored 209 in the match set the tone for India to&nbsp;beat England by 106 runs and level the series. While Jasprit Bumrah took the Player of the Match award, it was Jaiswal’s innings that was the difference-maker as India came back in the five-match Test series against England.</p>

<h2><strong>Vaughan full of praise for Jaiswal</strong></h2>

<p>"I would say he is a problem for England. He is an issue. He is an unbelievable player. I met him in Mumbai and he got a hundred the next day in the IPL. Now he has gone on to score a double-hundred against the best team in the world," Vaughan said while in conversation on the Club Prairie Fire podcast.</p>

<p>India lost the opening Test match in Hyderabad and needed a win to avoid a do-or-die situation in the rest of the series. The Mumbai batter was at his fluent best in the first innings of the Vizag Test which helped India score 396 before wrapping England out to take a healthy first innings lead. The hosts did not repeat the mistakes from their first encounter and registered the win against England’s bazball approach.</p>

<p>Speaking further, Gambhir backed the under-firing pair of Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill, who failed to notch big scores in the past few outings in Tests. While both, on selected occasions, have got off to decent starts lately, none has managed to go past the fifty-run mark.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Gambhir - having endured such runs in the past, knows how it feels to fall on the other side of things, said both batters are quality players and have proved themselves before with their performances.</p>

<p>"We should give them time as they are quality players, and they have shown it in the past with their performance. That is why they are playing for India," said the former Indian batsman.</p>

Jaiswal's innings gave India a quick start and half of England's 246 runs were wiped out by the time he went back in the dressing room.</p>

<p>"I was trying my best to do what I could and sometimes I can make a mistake and get out. Still, I'm learning. If I do make a mistake, I'll make sure that I try to learn from it," the batter said after the end of play on day 2.</p>

<p>"Of course, it would have been amazing if I would have scored a hundred. But what took me there was my thinking and my process to score runs and I was quite positive in my mind and I was just thinking, making sure I can build an innings. But it was good actually," he said.</p>

<p>The southpaw, who made his debut in whites last year in West Indies, is playing his first Test in India. He agreed that the environment is quite different from the three Tests he played in West Indies and South Africa.</p>

<p>"This is my first Test match in India and I was just thinking of contributing well and doing well for my team. When I was playing in the West Indies and South Africa, it was quite a different environment. Here also the environment is quite different. I was really enjoying all the places, of course. It is a proud and honour moment every time I go and play for my country," noted Jaiswal.</p>
