<p>Selena Gomez suffered a mishap and had to get surgery after breaking her hand. Fans doubled up on their wishes after the singer revealed in the comments section of a promotional post for her new single that she’s currently recuperating from surgery after hurting herself.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This post was for her new single and Selena wrote, “Broke my hand and had surgery. I don’t care about selling anything. I’m just happy to make music with my friends.”</p>

<p>Selena further added that while she had to undergo an operation, she “doesn’t care” about the sales of her new single “Single Soon” and instead insisted she is “happy” just creating music with those closest to her.</p>

<p>The song is about plotting how to break up with an ex. After the single came out, fans suspected that she had written about her famous ex, The Weeknd aka Abel Tesfaye. She, however, refuted those claims. She said it’s not about The Weeknd, whom she dated for 10 months between 2016 and 2017.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The lawsuit against Twitter was filed in a court in Tennessee, United States. The lawsuit reads, “The availability of videos with music, including copies of Publishers’ musical compositions, furthers Twitter’s financial interests both because it drives user engagement, and thus advertising revenue, and because Twitter does not pay fees to license musical compositions from Publishers and other music rights holders. Indeed, providing free, unlicensed music gives the Twitter platform an unfair advantage over competing platforms.”</p>

<h2><strong>Twitter doesn't punish repeat offenders who infringe, claims suit</strong></h2>

<p>The complaint points out examples of repeat offenders who have been issued notices of infringement time and again but have done nothing about it since the host platform doesn’t levy any penalty. “Twitter then monetizes those tweets and users via advertising, subscriptions, and data licensing, all of which serve to increase Twitter’s valuation and revenues,” states the filing.</p>

<p>The publishers stress that Twitter failed to implement a policy to terminate repeat infringers. The suit claims, “Users who repeatedly infringe copyrights do not face a realistic prospect of permanently losing access to their accounts on the Twitter platform. Rather than terminating access to specific users brought to its attention as infringers, which would have stopped or limited their infringement and deterred others from infringing, Twitter has operated its platform to be a haven for infringing activity.”</p>

<p>Selena Gomez is finally talking about Hailey Bieber! The "Calm Down" singer took to her Instagram story on Friday after learning about the immense criticism and death threats Justin Bieber's wife and Rhode founder&nbsp;has been receiving. She urged her fans to be kind to everyone and refrain from spreading negativity on social platforms.</p>

<p>"Hailey Bieber reached out to me," Gomez said.&nbsp;"And let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This is not&nbsp;what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I have always advocated for kindness and really want all of this to stop."</p>

<p>Gomez also started following the 26-year-old&nbsp;model on Instagram as a show of support.</p>

<p>Hours after Gomez spoke in support of Bieber, the latter penned a&nbsp;thank you note and addressed the whole TikTok drama that apparently started because of a viral TikTok video. In the long post shared on the Instagram story, Hailey wrote, "I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I."</p>

<p>Justin Bieber's wife continued, "The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful. While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together."</p>

<h2>What's the backstory?</h2>

<p>The feud between Bieber&nbsp;and Gomez apparently started when the Rhode Skin founder appeared to bully the "Lose You To Love Me"&nbsp;singer online. Gomez's fans quickly jumped to conclusions when Bieber&nbsp;posted and then deleted a video where she, Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye mouthed the audio, "I’m not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always right."</p>

<p>Netizens surmised that Bieber posted the video to bully&nbsp;Gomez, who, at the time, had just responded to being fat-shamed. The beef between the two, however, dates back to 2018 when the model&nbsp;got engaged to Gomez's ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. &nbsp;</p>

Selena had apparently posted a video using Bella Hadid’s voiceover and an eyebrow filter. Selena posted on her TikTok and confessed how she had accidentally over-laminated her eyebrows. Kylie Jenner then posted a photo of herself with the caption "this was an accident???" over her brows, and then also shared a picture of her friend Hailey Bieber's brows. After Kylie Jenner was slammed for being mean towards Selena, the makeup mogul said, "This is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever and I didn't see her eyebrow posts! <p>Season three of hit Hulu series 'Only Murders in the Building' is already looking exciting thanks to the star cast. The show's principal cast included Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short. And now veteran star Meryl Streep along with Paul Rudd has joined the cast of the show, which is currently filming its third season.&nbsp;<br />

Gomez who also serves as the executive producer of the show shared the news on Instagram as she shared a group selfie with her co-actors. She also posted a video with her co-stars from the sets where Streep makes an appearance at the end, right behind the lead trio.<br />
