Actor Alec Baldwin has been charged with manslaughter -- again -- over the deadly 2021 shooting on the set of his film Rust, court documents filed Friday showed.

Baldwin was holding a Colt .45 during rehearsals for the low-budget Western in New Mexico when it discharged a live round, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.

Baldwin, who was also a producer on the film, has repeatedly denied responsibility for the October 2021 shooting, insisting he did not pull the trigger on the gun, which in any case should have been loaded with a non-lethal blank.

Friday's development marks the latest attempt to hold someone to account for the deadly episode, which sent shockwaves through Hollywood and led to calls for a tightening of the rules around firearms on movie sets.

Initial manslaughter charges against Baldwin were dropped in April last year, due to what prosecutors called "new facts" which demanded "further investigation and forensic analysis."

In October, prosecutors said they were convening a grand jury -- a group of citizens who assess evidence and decide whether there is a case to answer.

"We look forward to our day in court," Baldwin's attorneys Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro said in a statement sent to AFP on Friday.

Baldwin reportedly faces up to 18 months in jail if convicted of the new charge.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the film's armourer -- the person responsible for supplying and maintaining weapons -- is set to go on trial next month on charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence.

Prosecutors say that as the person who loaded the gun, she is culpable.

She denies the charges.

Investigators discovered a number of other live rounds on the Bonanza Creek Ranch film set -- a popular destination for film producers looking to recreate the 19th-century US frontier -- in addition to the one that killed Hutchins.

There has been no explanation as to how they got there, but numerous stories have emerged about lax safety protocols, cost-cutting and an atmosphere of discontent among some members of the crew.

Dave Halls, the film's safety coordinator and assistant director who handed Baldwin the loaded gun, agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors and was sentenced to six months probation.

- Filming completed -

Filming of Rust was halted by the tragedy but resumed last year.

Variety reported it has now been completed, using new locations in the US state of Montana.

The cinematographer's widower, Matthew Hutchins, served as an executive producer on the project.

He has already settled a wrongful death suit with Rust producers, and has said he has "no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame," calling his wife's death "a terrible accident."

Director Souza also returned, saying at the time that completing the movie would be "bittersweet" but that the cast and crew "are committed to completing what Halyna and I started."

Lawyers for Hutchins' Ukranian parents and sister, who are suing Baldwin and other producers, welcomed Friday's grand jury indictment.

"Our clients have always sought the truth about what happened on the day that Halyna Hutchins was tragically shot and killed," a statement from lawyer Gloria Allred said.

"They continue to seek the truth in our civil lawsuit for them and they also would like there to be accountability in the criminal justice system.

"We are looking forward to the criminal trial which will determine if he should be convicted for the untimely death of Halyna."

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's first poster out! Teaser to release on THIS date

Kim Kardashian has once again proven her fashion prowess, hitting the snowy slopes of Aspen in the same leather Chanel ski suit that Victoria Beckham made famous in 2006. The reality TV star, 43, braved the cold in the 2004 Limited Edition Hooded Leather Sport Biker Jacket ($16,920) paired with matching ski pants featuring suspenders ($2,780).

The leather ensemble showcased Kardashian's curves. She complemented the look with a zip-up bodysuit, neck gaiter, mittens, snow boots, and goggles. However, fans couldn't help but notice the absence of a helmet, a safety measure disregarded by the star despite her group opting for the crucial headgear.

It seems Kardashian had this iconic look in mind for a while, as she had "liked" a photo of Victoria Beckham wearing the same suit in 2021. Unlike Beckham, Kardashian skipped the Chanel ski poles and branded skis.

Kim was accompanied by sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, as well as mom Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble. Taking a more practical approach to her ski-day attire, Khloé opted for a puffy black coat and matching ski pants, adding a Balenciaga cat-shaped helmet for a touch of flair. Meanwhile, Kendall stayed covered in a grey puffer jacket, black snow pants, and a sleek helmet with goggles.

Popular Indian actress Nayanthara issued an apology on Thursday following the controversy surrounding her recent film Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food. The apology comes in the wake of allegations that the film hurt religious sentiments, disrespected Hindu deities, and promoted "love jihad".

The controversy escalated after a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against the film, prompting its removal from the OTT platform Netflix.

In her Instagram post, Nayanthara expressed regret, stating, "In our sincere attempt to share a positive message, we may have inadvertently caused hurt. We did not expect the removal of a censored film, previously showcased in theatres, from the OTT platform. My team and I never intended to hurt anyone's sentiments, and we understand the gravity of this issue."

The actress, known for her frequent visits to temples and her deep belief in God, added, "Being someone who wholly believes in God and frequently visits temples across the country, it is the last thing I would intentionally do. To those whose feelings we've touched, I extend my sincere and heartfelt apologies."

My team and I never intended to hurt anyone's sentiments, and we understand the gravity of this issue." The actress, known for her frequent visits to temples and her deep belief in God, added, "Being someone who wholly believes in God and frequently visits temples across the country, it is the last thing I would intentionally do. To those whose feelings we've touched, I extend my sincere and heartfelt apologies." Check out the full statement below! Although I haven’t been here long, I already miss you guys so much. The members and I keep in touch by calling one another on the public telephone, and Jungkook is doing really well. Jungkook is doing so well, in fact, that everyone keeps saying, Wow, Jungkook hyung is him. He gives me a lot of strength when I am with him, and I rely on him a lot. I will soon be assigned to my unit. I’ll do my best to do well. ARMYs, please be careful not to get sick, eat well, and think good thoughts. Anyway, I’ll write to you again once I am assigned to my unit. I love you."
Renowned rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernández, has found himself in legal trouble once again. This time, he is facing domestic violence charges in the Dominican Republic. The 27-year-old artist was reportedly arrested on Wednesday in Santo Domingo and is currently held at a local jail, awaiting a court appearance scheduled for Thursday.

Details surrounding the alleged domestic violence incident have not been disclosed to the public. A judge will preside over the hearing to determine whether Tekashi 6ix9ine, known for hits like "FEFE," will be released on bond or remain in custody, as reported by the Associated Press.

This recent arrest follows a series of legal incidents involving the rapper. Just a month prior, Tekashi's girlfriend, Yailin La Más Viral, faced a felony charge after a physical altercation between the two. The police report, obtained by TMZ, revealed Tekashi's claims that Yailin struck him and his Bentley with a 2x4. She was also accused of kicking the car's sideview mirror and breaking the windshield.

Later, Yailin reportedly admitted to striking Tekashi’s car “to cause him financial hardship” after he allegedly took some of her money and passport. Tekashi also had a video of the fight, which he posted to his Instagram Stories, giving police probable cause to arrest Yailin for aggravated battery, witness tampering and felony criminal mischief.

However, it was Tekashi who later paid Yailin’s $9,000 bond and helped her get out of prison. After getting released from prison, the female rapper insisted that she was the victim. “What an injustice truly … Everything you see is not how it appears to be,” she wrote in Spanish on her Instagram Story at the time.

Yailin also reposted a tweet that alleged Tekashi had hit her in the past and then he would start recording to get her reaction afterwards.

This recent arrest is not Tekashi's first brush with the law. Two months before the altercation with Yailin, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a music producer working with her. The current status of that case remains unclear. Additionally, in August, the rapper was booked in Florida for failure to appear at a hearing regarding several traffic citations amounting to over $1,000.

Tekashi 6ix9ine arrested on domestic violence charges in Dominican Republic: Report

Renowned Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey recently took to social media to raise serious concerns about a major commercial airline, accusing them of an alleged 10-hour delay and asserting that the staff allegedly provided false information regarding bad weather conditions. The actor, known for his roles in Khosla Ka Ghosla and A Death In The Gunj, revealed in his now-viral post that the flight he and his seven friends were scheduled to travel on lacked an assigned pilot.

On Monday, Shorey shared his ordeal on social media platform X and announced his intention to file a complaint against the airline for the "trauma" he endured at the airport.

In his post, Shorey explained, "Our flight was scheduled for 2 PM. All 8 of us checked in 2 hours prior as stipulated, and only then were we informed that the flight was 3 hours late due to bad weather (fog)." He expressed understanding initially but later confronted the airline staff when the delays persisted. "We were not intimated prior to reaching the airport. Still, we did not complain, thinking there must have been a communication issue and were completely understanding, as we were aware that at this time of the year these things happen sometimes," Shorey wrote.

The actor recounted that the flight's status on the airline's website indicated no fog issues at Kolkata, from where the aircraft was supposed to arrive in Bengaluru. Confronted with this information, Shorey claimed the staff attributed the inconsistency to an update error on the website and assured him that the flight would depart around 8 pm.

"When we confronted the Indigo staff with this information, he simply said that the website has not been updated properly, and gave us his 'personal guarantee' that the flight will take off at around 8 pm. This was important for me as my child would be alone at home if I did not get back by around 10-10:30 pm," the Mumbai-based actor continued.

However, Shorey alleged that the actual cause of the delay, revealed later by the new staff after a shift change, was the unavailability of a pilot for the flight. Despite assurances, the actor stated that the flight eventually departed around midnight, a staggering 10 hours after the scheduled time.

"He assured me that a pilot has now been assigned and the flight will take off by 10:30 pm. By now I was feeling completely helpless. I somehow made arrangements for someone to watch over my child as I knew that we had been fed lies non-stop for the last 8 hours and were in a hopeless situation. After this, we had to face another 2-3 hours of lies and delays before a pilot showed up and our flight took off at around midnight, 10 hours after the scheduled time of the flight!

BTS military service update: BigHit Music requests fans to not send gifts to military barracks

Joyce Randolph, a veteran stage and television actor whose role as the savvy Trixie Norton on The Honeymooners provided the perfect foil to her dimwitted TV husband, has died. She was 99.

Randolph died of natural causes Saturday night at her home on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, her son Randolph Charles told The Associated Press Sunday.

She was the last surviving main character of the beloved comedy from television’s golden age of the 1950s.

The Honeymooners was an affectionate look at Brooklyn tenement life, based in part on star Jackie Gleason’s childhood. Gleason played the blustering bus driver Ralph Kramden. Audrey Meadows was his wisecracking, strong-willed wife Alice, and Art Carney was the cheerful sewer worker Ed Norton. Alice and Trixie often found themselves commiserating over their husbands’ various follies and mishaps, whether unknowingly marketing dogfood as a popular snack or trying in vain to resist a rent hike, or freezing in the winter as their heat is shut off.

Randolph would later cite a handful of favourite episodes, including one in which Ed is sleepwalking.

“And Carney calls out, ‘Thelma?!’ He never knew his wife’s real name,” she later told the Television Academy Foundation.

Originating in 1950 as a recurring skit on Gleason’s variety show, Cavalcade of Stars, The Honeymooners still ranks among the all-time favourites of television comedy. The show grew in popularity after Gleason switched networks with The Jackie Gleason Show. Later, for one season in 1955-56, it became a full-fledged series.

Those 39 episodes became a staple of syndicated programming aired all over the country and beyond.

In an interview with The New York Times in January 2007, Randolph said she received no compensation in residuals for those 39 episodes. She said she finally began getting royalties with the discovery of “lost” episodes from the variety hours.

After five years as a member of Gleason’s on-the-air repertory company, Randolph virtually retired, opting to focus full-time on marriage and motherhood.

“I didn’t miss a thing by not working all the time,” she said. “I didn’t want a nanny raising (my) wonderful son.”

But decades after leaving the show, Randolph still had many admirers and received dozens of letters a week. She was a regular into her 80s at the downstairs bar at Sardi’s, where she liked to sip her favourite White Cadillac concoction — Dewar’s and milk — and chat with patrons who recognized her from a portrait of the sitcom’s four characters over the bar.

Randolph said the show’s impact on television viewers didn’t dawn on her until the early 1980s.

“One year while (my son) was in college at Yale, he came home and said, ’Did you know that guys and girls come up to me and ask, ‘Is your mom really Trixie?’” she told The San Antonio Express in 2000. “I guess he hadn’t paid much attention before then.”

Earlier, she had lamented that playing Trixie limited her career.

“For years after that role, directors would say: ‘No, we can’t use her. She’s too well-known as Trixie,’” Randolph told the Orlando Sentinel in 1993.

Gleason died in 1987 at age 71, followed by Meadows in 1996 and Carney in 2003. Gleason had revived The Honeymooners in the 1960s, with Jane Kean as Trixie.

Randolph was born Joyce Sirola in Detroit in 1924, and was around 19 when she joined a road company of Stage Door. From there she went to New York and performed in a number of Broadway shows.

In the late 1940s and early 1950s, she was seen often on TV, appearing with such stars as Eddie Cantor, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, Danny Thomas and Fred Allen.

Randolph met Gleason for the first time when she did a Clorets commercial on “Cavalcade of Stars,” and The Great One took a liking to her; she didn’t even have an agent at the time.

Randolph spent her retirement going to Broadway openings and fundraisers, being active with the U.S.O. and visiting other favourite Manhattan haunts, among them Angus, Chez Josephine and the Lambs Club.

Her husband, Richard Lincoln, a wealthy marketing executive who died in 1997, served as president at the Lambs, a theatrical club, and she reigned as “first lady.” They had one son, Charles.

Golden Globes 2024 host Jo Koy's stint at the award ceremony didn't go as expected! Despite that, the comedian didn't hold back in addressing his less-than-stellar performance at the ceremony during his stand-up in St. Louis for the Joy Koy World Tour.

Despite arriving late due to a Midwestern snowstorm, Koy received a warm welcome on stage. While not directly addressing the Golden Globes, Koy spoke candidly about the experience and encouraged free expression.

The 52-year-old referred to the award show audiences as "marshmallows," seemingly taunting the audience for being too "soft" to take the jokes.

He said, "Lot a marshmallows, man. They’re delicious, but goddamn, they’re soft. I just come from a different time. I see the changes that are happening. I get it, but goddamn, can we f*cking laugh at ourselves?"

He continued, "I got a feeling none of you motherf*ckers watched it, and I’m kinda happy. Oh my god. It feels good to live in this country. We get to say what we want to say. Don’t be apologetic about it at all. Be able to… speak your mind."

Koy's Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce joke and his Barbie quip fell flat at the Golden Globes, generating discomfort among viewers. However, Greta Gerwig, the director and Barbie maker, defended Koy's Barbie comment, acknowledging historical accuracy regarding the doll.

During the set, Koy also shared anecdotes about the cold weather and his emergency landing in Kansas City, entertaining the audience thoroughly.

Despite a positive response from the live audience, netizens on social media expressed dissatisfaction, with some labelling Koy as unfunny and criticising his monologue at the Golden Globes. I get it, but goddamn, can we f*cking laugh at ourselves?" He continued, "I got a feeling none of you motherf*ckers watched it, and I’m kinda happy. Oh my god. It feels good to live in this country. We get to say what we want to say. Don’t be apologetic about it at all. Be able to… speak your mind." During the set, Koy also shared anecdotes about the cold weather and his emergency landing in Kansas City, entertaining the audience thoroughly.
Next week, Prince Harry will be honoured with the "Living Legend of Aviation" award at the 21st Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills for his "significant contributions to the aerospace industry". This decision has been met with criticism from British Army personnel and has sparked controversy.

The award ceremony, set to take place in Beverly Hills on January 19 and hosted by John Travolta, will see the Duke of Sussex join esteemed names like Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong in the Aviation Hall of Fame. However, some military experts argue that Prince Harry's contribution doesn't warrant such a prestigious title.

Critics, including retired military officer Colonel Richard Kemp, have voiced their concerns, highlighting that while Prince Harry served commendably during his ten-year military tenure and completed two tours of service in Afghanistan, he did not distinguish himself significantly from other serving pilots. Colonel Kemp expressed his scepticism, stating, "He was a gunner in an Apache helicopter in Afghanistan, but so were many, many other people."

Kemp further emphasised that the recognition appears to be more about Prince Harry's celebrity status than his specific achievements.

Colonel Kemp told The Sun, "It is obviously because of who he is - not what he did. An Apache is crewed by two people - a pilot and a gunner. Harry was a gunner. He was number two in the aircraft. There have been some incredible aeronautical exploits from helicopter pilots in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other war zones. There are some extraordinary stories involving enormous flying skill and bravery. As far as I’m aware, Harry, though I commend him for going out there and doing it, did not accomplish feats like these."

Royal commentator Robert Jobson echoed similar sentiments, questioning the decision to honour Prince Harry in the category of living aviation legends. Jobson said, "I think the idea that Prince Harry is getting an award for being a living legend of aviation seems a bit daft. He's hardly Chuck Yeager or Amelia Earhart, is he? It devalues the word legend."

Several netizens, too, criticised the organisers for their decision of honouring Harry instead of "other worthy candidates". "Is this a joke? What is the legendary stuff that he has done? I am asking seriously! What the h**k has he done?” wrote one user on social media, according to the Daily Mail.

"Not a joke, but a paid induction," another argued. "The plus side is six other people are actually getting named awards. H is not. They must’ve really thought this was going to bring them good publicity," wrote a third X user.

As far as I’m aware, Harry, though I commend him for going out there and doing it, did not accomplish feats like these." Royal commentator Robert Jobson echoed similar sentiments, questioning the decision to honour Prince Harry in the category of living aviation legends. Jobson said, "I think the idea that Prince Harry is getting an award for being a living legend of aviation seems a bit daft. He's hardly Chuck Yeager or Amelia Earhart, is he? It devalues the word legend." Several netizens, too, criticised the organisers for their decision of honouring Harry instead of "other worthy candidates".

Prince Harry's Living Legend of Aviation award sparks controversy. Here's why

Kelly Carlin, daughter of the legendary comedian George Carlin, has voiced strong criticism against the release of a new comedy special featuring an AI-generated version of her late father, who passed away in 2008 due to heart failure.

In a series of tweets, Kelly Carlin expressed her disapproval of the AI-generated content, stating, “My dad spent a lifetime perfecting his craft from his very human life, brain, and imagination. No machine will ever replace his genius. These AI-generated products are clever attempts at trying to recreate a mind that will never exist again.”

The controversy arose after Dudesy, a YouTube channel and podcast known for its AI-centric content, released an hour-long comedy special titled "I’m Glad I’m Dead." The channel describes itself as a "first-of-its-kind media experiment."

The comedy special, hosted by an AI named Dudesy, opened with a disclaimer, clarifying that the AI impersonation of George Carlin was not the real comedian. The AI explained that it had developed the impersonation by listening to Carlin's material and imitating his voice, cadence, and attitude.

After the disclaimer, the special delved into various topics, including religion, mass shootings, Donald Trump, billionaires, technology, and identity. At one point, the AI-generated George Carlin commented on Elon Musk, suggesting a boycott of Tesla and Twitter to curb the influence of the tech mogul.

Ruby Barker, recognised for her role as Marina in the hit series Bridgerton, recently took to her Instagram to share a deeply personal and distressing experience with her followers. In a lengthy note, she detailed the trauma of an abusive relationship she endured, resulting in her hospitalisation at the end of 2023. In her candid revelation, Barker recounted meeting a man following her father's passing in January 2023, and described how their relationship quickly turned tumultuous. What began as him staying back to help her clean up after a party soon turned volatile, she alleges. Barker shared her ordeal, citing the man's family's complicity in enabling his harmful behaviour. “I know I joke a lot but this was not funny and ultimately nearly killed me,” she wrote, adding, “I was so confused and ultimately all I wanted was my Dad back.” While she didn't disclose the abuser's identity, Barker revealed seeking help, reaching out to support hotlines like Samaritans and the police. Despite their efforts and guidance from organisations like Refuge on recognising the cycle of abuse, she chose not to file a formal complaint. "I spent nights on the phone to the Samaritans and the Police would call me and come by my place to see if I was okay. I didn’t want to press charges. Refuge helped me understand what the cycle of abuse was and what it looks like. He knows. I know. Now you know too," she wrote. Check out the post below!
Rumours swirled across Chinese social media when a purported Weibo post, allegedly from Taiwanese-Australian model-actress Hannah Quinlivan, surfaced, making shocking allegations against her husband, Mandopop sensation Jay Chou.

The viral screenshot, circulating on January 4, accused Chou of misconduct and deceit. It read, "Mr Chou, tear down that fake mask of yours, your perfect image can't hide your true self for long… I don't want to live a day like this anymore, Mr Chou! Those disgusting activities that you and your friends did, do you really think the truth won't come out someday?"

Quinlivan's agency swiftly debunked the post on her official Weibo account, denying its authorship and labelling the claims as entirely false.

In the official statement, Quinlivan's agency urged netizens to disregard online hearsay and indicated her readiness to pursue legal recourse over the fraudulent post. Her official statement was reposted by Chou's company, JVR Music, and the Jay Chou International Fan Club on Weibo, further discrediting the 'fabricated' accusations.

The official statement by the Taiwanese-Australian model-actress's agency read, "The content of the post is untrue and purely fictitious and not published by Hannah. We appeal to everyone not to believe rumours spreading online. Our company will reserve our rights to pursue legal action."

Attempting to dispel the turmoil, Quinlivan shared Jay Chou's new song "Christmas Star" on her Instagram Stories, adorning the post with three heart-eyed smiley faces and tagging Chou.

Meanwhile, Jay Chou, 44, refrained from addressing the allegations directly but countered the speculations by sharing Instagram Stories showcasing moments from his ongoing trip in Britain alongside Quinlivan and friends.

The contentious post, alleging Chou's involvement in purportedly scandalous activities, hinted at conflict within their relationship. However, fans ardently defended Quinlivan, highlighting inconsistencies in the post's timing and Quinlivan's online presence. Her last known Weibo activity dated back to December 30, 2023, while her Xiaohongshu profile indicated her current location in England, contradicting the purported Weibo post.

For those unaware, Diaz's name emerged among a list of Hollywood celebrities linked to Epstein, a roster that also included Leonardo DiCaprio and Naomi Campbell.

In a statement to ET, Diaz's representative clarified her stance, affirming that the actress had never crossed paths with Epstein nor had any dealings or encounters with him whatsoever. The representative staunchly stated, "Cameron never met Jeffrey Epstein, nor was she ever in the same place as him or had any association with him whatsoever, regardless of the fact he may or may not have mentioned her name or implied that he knew her."

In the lawsuit, Sjoberg had recounted Epstein boasting about associations with high-profile figures like Diaz, despite never having personally met them. Sjoberg emphasised that Epstein's claims were merely attempts at name-dropping during phone conversations.

The unsealing of over 130 additional court files on Friday, part of a lawsuit concerning Epstein, shed further light on his history of sexual abuse involving underage girls and interactions with celebrities. Among the unveiled documents were excerpts from testimonies of Epstein's associates, copies of received phone messages — including one from Harvey Weinstein — and legal memos analysing potential trial witnesses.
