Ashneer Grover, the well-known entrepreneur and former Shark on Shark Tank India, has stirred up controversy with his recent comments about the ongoing season of the popular show. Grover, who gained fame as one of the sharks in the previous season, attended the annual fest of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, where he took a dig at the current season and particularly targeted fellow shark Anupam Mittal.

In a video uploaded by a fan on X, Grover can be heard saying in Hindi, "Mittal saab ki na umar ho rahi he… Dusra, gussa wala chala gaya. Ye toh fact hain na. Galat toh kuch nahi bola Mittal saab ne us tareeka se. Chala gaya… Tum sab toh thande hi ho sab. Tabhhi toh pehle season ka TRP dekh lo aur second, third season ka TRP dekh lo. Sab pata lag jayega (Translation - Mittal sir is getting old…. The angry one has left, that’s a fact. Mr. Mittal hasn’t said anything wrong. You all are so cold. Check the TRP of the first season and those of second and third season, you will know).”

He further added, “Jo pehle season mein chala gaya woh tha GOAT (Greatest Of All Time), aur tum sab teesre season mein bhi ‘audition’ hi kar rahe ho shark banne ki (Translation - The one who left was the GOAT, but you all are still auditioning to be the shark).”

Grover's comments, which earned loud cheers from the students at the college fest, suggest that he believes the current sharks on the show are still in the process of proving themselves, comparing them unfavourably to the previous seasons.

This is not the first time Grover has criticised the current season. In November, he shared the promo of Shark Tank India Season 3 on social media with the caption, “Shark Tank 3 is ‘audition’ of sharks for Shark Tank 4! Life mein ek lesson hai - don’t change and make unnecessary problem of something which is already solved. Wish quantity solves for quality!”

North West, the 10-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, is living the high life! She was recently spotted jetting back home to Los Angeles aboard a private jet after a successful performance with her father in Paris. North was accompanied by her nanny and a bodyguard when she arrived in Los Angeles with bags from luxury fashion houses Chanel and Celine.

North's return marks the conclusion of a triumphant week for the West family as all 16 tracks from Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures 1” album, including the song “Talking” featuring North, achieved placement on the Billboard Hot 100.

While the West family is revelling in their recent successes, it's essential to note the environmental impact associated with private jet travel. Private planes are reported to be up to 14 times more polluting per passenger than commercial planes and a staggering 50 times more polluting than trains, according to a report by Transport & Environment, a European clean transport campaign organisation.

Among other A-listers, North's ultra-famous family has always faced backlash for their private jet travels, which leaves a massive carbon footprint. Kim and Kylie Jenner, who own two of the poshest private jets costing around $150M and $72.8M respectively, took as many as 114 flights in their private jets in the past year. Some of those flights were barely 15 minutes long, which could have easily been a road trip.

Similarly, Kanye has faced massive backlash from media outlets and environmental activities for his travel decisions, with a significant focus on the environmental implications of his private jet usage. The contrast between his advocacy for social and environmental causes and the indulgence of private air travel has sparked major debates and headlines in the last few years.

Taking note of the growing backlash against celebrities who own private jets, Taylor Swift recently downsized to one private jet, parting ways with her Dassault Falcon 900 on January 30, according to the Federal Aviation Authority's website. Reality TV star and fashion mogul Kim Kardashian is under scrutiny after a New York man, Ivan A. Cantu, revealed she mistakenly identified him as death row inmate Ivan Cantu on her Instagram Stories. Ivan A. Cantu, a 60-year-old project manager, discovered the mix-up when relatives informed him about the post, causing initial disbelief on his 60th birthday. The mix-up could be because both the death row inmate and the project manager have the same first and last names.

Speaking to TMZ, Ivan A. Cantu speculated that a member of Kardashian's staff had inadvertently posted his image on her social media platform. Kardashian promptly removed the post, and an opinion story addressing the Cantu case was shared on her Instagram feed.

Kardashian, known for her advocacy in criminal justice, also shared a text message campaign urging Texas Governor Greg Abbott to delay an execution scheduled for Wednesday, February 28.

Ivan Cantu had faced a scheduled execution in April 2023 for the fatal shooting of his cousin, James Mosqueda, 27, and his cousin´s girlfriend, Amy Kitchen, 22, during a November 2000 robbery at their north Dallas home. However, a Texas judge stopped the execution the same month amid Cantu's claims of innocence, citing false testimony and questionable evidence.

Gena Bunn, Cantu's attorney, explained, "Because Mr Cantu's case raises troubling questions that undermine the integrity of the conviction, the court´s decision to withdraw the execution date to permit further review was the appropriate next step."

Two jurors who convicted Cantu have submitted declarations expressing doubts about the case. Maurice Jacob, one of the jurors, emphasised the need for a careful and thorough review of the evidence before carrying out the execution.

Cantu's legal team has challenged the credibility of key witness Amy Boettcher, whose testimony played a crucial role in the conviction. Boettcher passed away in 2021, and several discrepancies in her statements have emerged, including false claims about stolen items and a proposal.

Attorney Gena Bunn credited private investigator Matt Duff for uncovering new evidence in the case, documented in a podcast called Cousins By Blood.

Meanwhile, Kardashian, who is passionate about criminal justice and is studying to become a lawyer, was instrumental in the 2018 prison release of Alice Marie Johnson, following a pardon from then-president Donald Trump. Johnson had been sentenced to life in prison for a nonviolent drug offence as a result of her 1996 conviction in a drug trafficking ring.

The Mare of Easttown star believes that women in their 40s and beyond can become more powerful and sexy, rejecting societal expectations and embracing their true selves.

"I think women come into their 40s, certainly mid-40s, thinking: 'Oh well, this is the beginning of the decline and things start to change and fade and slide in directions that I don't want them to go in anymore.' And I've just decided no," she said on the podcast.

The celebration and festivities of the Kansas City Chiefs' victory at Super Bowl LVIII seem far from over. A recent video making rounds online reveals the team's spirited post-game celebrations, with one member stealing the spotlight with his enthusiastic dance moves. None other than Travis Kelce, star tight end for the Chiefs, who had just returned from supporting his girlfriend Taylor Swift during her Eras tour leg in Sydney, Australia, took a quick trip back to Las Vegas to continue the celebrations with his teammates. In a recent get-together at Las Vegas' XS nightclub, Kelce showed just how much he loves his girlfriend Taylor Swift. While soaking up the weekend vibes with teammate Patrick Mahomes, Kelce decided to hit the dance floor and grooved to Swift's classic 2008 hit, "Love Story." And he didn't hold back one bit! The cute moment was captured on video and soon became the talk of social media. Netizens were all praise for Kelce's infectious energy as he swayed to the music and even spun a towel above his head. 2024 Producers Guild Awards full winners list: Oppenheimer and Martin Scorsese honoured

Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone shared insights into the challenges she faced while filming Poor Things during a panel discussion at Saturday's Celebration of the Nominees for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Stone, nominated once again for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Bella Baxter in the film, highlighted a particular dietary difficulty she encountered.

Stone, 35, addressed questions about playing "an explicitly sexual character," stating that it "wasn't" tough. She praised the support provided by the film's team, including the intimacy coordinator and the controlled filming environments, which made those scenes easier to navigate.

However, Stone revealed that the real challenge lay in portraying Bella's other emotions and quirks, such as her unique eating habits. She described the difficulty of consuming multiple Portuguese tarts for a scene and portraying Bella's reaction to witnessing death and decay for the very first time and making it seem convincing.

"The sexuality of Bella was another part of that, and the way that that was going to be shot and how we were going to do it and our incredible intimacy coordinator and our closed sets and all of that. In some ways, that was the easiest part because that was choreographed. Those were quick. We knew exactly what we were doing," she said.

"Figuring out how to walk or eat 60 Portuguese tarts, which the first bite is delicious, but by the end you really want to puke. Or her seeing death and decay for the first time, much more challenging than the nudity, which is the only thing people want to seem to ask me about."

Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, Poor Things is based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray. The plot follows Bella Baxter, a young woman in Victorian London who comes to life through a brain transplant and embarks on an odyssey of self-discovery.

Stone's performance in the film has earned her several awards, including the Leading Actress trophy at the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards. She also won the Critics Choice Award for Best Actress.

While Stone was nominated for the outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role at the SAG Awards, the award ultimately went to Lily Gladstone for her performance in Killers of the Flower Moon.

The 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards witnessed a highly-anticipated reunion as The Devil Wears Prada stars Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Meryl Streep took the stage together to present an award. The trio delighted fans by injecting references from the iconic film into their appearance.

Meryl Streep, who played the formidable Miranda Priestly, first appeared on stage, humorously claiming to have forgotten her glasses and the envelope with the winning name. Blunt and Hathaway then joined her, echoing their roles as Miranda's assistants by handing her the missing items.

"It's an age-old question: Where does the character end and the actor begin?" Streep mused, to which Blunt added, "Well, as we've just seen, Meryl and Miranda Priestly are sort of like twins."

The playful banter continued as Blunt, imitating Miranda's famous demeanour, urged Streep to open the envelope: "By all means, move at a glacial pace. You know how much that thrills me," she quipped.

The beloved cast of Modern Family came together once again at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards to present the Ensemble in a Comedy Series category, which was won by The Bear. Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Ed O’Neill, Sofía Vergara, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson took the stage to share updates on their lives since the end of their long-running comedy series.

Burrell kicked off the conversation by asking the cast if they missed being together, highlighting the rarity of being on a show for 11 seasons. O’Neill humorously chimed in, recalling his own experience with the 11-season run of Married with Children, saying, “It’s happened twice to me.”

Vergara added a touch of humour, mentioning the success of her new show Griselda, which she revealed has already reached the No. 1 spot in 90 countries on Netflix. Stonestreet then jokingly called out Ferguson, reminding him of a bet they had regarding Vergara mentioning the success of her show, asking him to pay up.

Ferguson shared his nostalgia for the "golden days" of the show but acknowledged that life after a hit series can be fulfilling too. O’Neill playfully remarked that what he missed most about the show was the money, eliciting laughter from the audience.

Ferguson lightened the mood by jokingly asking if it was too early to discuss a reboot of Modern Family because he said he had to “park a mile away from here” to attend the SAG Awards.

Bowen then teased Ferguson about his Broadway aspirations, to which he jokingly responded, “That’s just something actors without hit shows say, OK? There’s a reason the Tony Award is the last letter of EGOT.”

The Modern Family reunion at SAG Awards takes fans on a nostalgic ride

Pop superstar Taylor Swift made a young girl's dream come true during her Sydney Eras Tour show on Friday. Nine-year-old Scarlett Oliver, who is battling a high-grade glioma, a very aggressive form of brain cancer, was granted her wish to meet Swift.

Scarlett's stepmother, Natalie, had shared Scarlett's story and desire to meet Swift on social media. Despite the Make-a-Wish Foundation being unable to fulfil Scarlett's wish, Natalie and Scarlett were able to attend Swift's concert at Accor Stadium.

In a Facebook post earlier this week, Natalie shared Scarlett's story, stating that Scarlett had been a warrior throughout her treatments, including surgeries and radiation.

"Scarlett is a 9-year-old from Perth, and she was diagnosed in October last year with a high grade glioma — this is a very aggressive brain cancer with no cure," wrote Natalie on a fan page for Swift, 34, on Facebook earlier this week, according to a screenshot shared on X (formerly Twitter). Comedian and actress Amy Schumer has revealed that she has been diagnosed with Cushing syndrome, a condition caused by an excess of cortisol in the body. Schumer, 42, shared her diagnosis in Jessica Yellin's News Not Noise newsletter, following speculation about her appearance during the promotional tour for season 2 of her show Life & Beth.

Expressing relief at her diagnosis, Schumer stated that she feels "reborn" after learning that she has a form of Cushing syndrome that will resolve on its own.

The actress revealed that she became aware of her condition while undergoing extensive medical tests during her promotional activities. She shared her gratitude for the support she received online, stating, "Having the internet chime in helped me know something was wrong."

"While I was doing press on camera for my Hulu show, I was also in MRI machines four hours at a time, having my veins shut down from the amount of blood drawn and thinking I may not be around to see my son grow up. So finding out I have the kind of Cushing that will just work itself out and I'm healthy was the greatest news imaginable," said Schumer.

Schumer also spoke about her decision to share her diagnosis publicly, citing her desire to advocate for women's health. She emphasised the importance of self-love and empowerment, urging kindness toward oneself and others.

"The shaming and criticism of our ever-changing bodies is something I have dealt with and witnessed for a long time," said Schumer. "I want so much for women to love themselves and be relentless when fighting for their own health in a system that usually doesn't believe them."

This revelation comes after Schumer addressed her health issues in an Instagram post on February 15, where she mentioned having "some medical and hormonal things" and disclosed her struggle with endometriosis, an autoimmune disease.

"Historically women’s bodies have barely been studied medically compared to men. The book ‘all in her head’ does a good job of explaining this. I also believe a woman doesn’t need any excuse for her physical appearance and owes no explanation. But I wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for self-love and acceptance of the skin you’re in," Schumer wrote in her Feb 15 Instagram post.

What is Cushing Syndrome?

Cushing syndrome is a rare hormonal disorder that occurs when your body is exposed to high levels of the hormone cortisol for a long time. It can develop from the use of oral corticosteroid medication or from the overproduction of cortisol by the adrenal glands.

Symptoms of Cushing syndrome can vary but may include weight gain, particularly around the midsection and upper back (causing a rounded "buffalo hump" appearance), thinning of the skin that bruises easily, stretch marks on the abdomen, thighs, and breasts, fatigue, muscle weakness, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, irritability, anxiety, or depression, and irregular or absent menstrual periods in women.

Treatment depends on the cause of the syndrome and may include reducing the use of corticosteroids, surgery to remove tumours causing the excess cortisol, or medications to control the production of cortisol. Early diagnosis and treatment can help manage the symptoms and prevent complications.

And, Margot Robbie was overlooked in favour of Annette Bening (Nyad), Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Sandra Hüller, (Anatomy of a Fall), Carey Mulligan (Maestro), and Emma Stone (Poor Things).

Gerwig, while disappointed about Robbie's snub, expressed her happiness for the film's overall performance and the recognition it received at the 96th Academy Awards.

In an interview with Time, Gerwig shared her thoughts on the Oscar snub, saying, "Of course, I wanted it for Margot. But I'm just happy we all get to be there together."

She highlighted the support she has received from friends and fans, emphasising that she did receive an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

"A friend’s mom said to me, ‘I can’t believe you didn’t get nominated.’ I said, ‘But I did. I got an Oscar nomination.’ She was like, ‘Oh, that’s wonderful for you!’ I was like, ‘I know!’,” she added, referring to her nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Looking ahead, Gerwig is excited about her next projects, two Chronicles of Narnia movies for Netflix. She revealed that she had been working on the Narnia project for a long time and had written a draft of it before directing Barbie. She described her attraction to the "euphorically dreamlike" quality of CS Lewis' writing, noting the combination of folklore and different traditions in his work.

She said, “It’s connected to the folklore and fairy stories of England, but it’s a combination of different traditions. As a child, you accept the whole thing—that you’re in this land of Narnia, there’s fauns, and then Father Christmas shows up. It doesn’t even occur to you that it’s not schematic. I’m interested in embracing the paradox of the worlds that Lewis created, because that’s what’s so compelling about them.”

One of South Korea's most popular crime action movie series is hoping to make the leap to international success at the Berlin Film Festival on Friday, where its fourth iteration, The Roundup: Punishment, will celebrate its world premiere.

The film, which follows the rough-and-tumble detective Ma Seok-do as he takes down an illegal online gambling ring, joins a long list of South Korean films that have made their way to Western audience following the 2019 smash-hit Parasite.

Eternals and Train to Busan's Don Lee, who plays the detective and gets a storyby credit, told Reuters that there were plans to develop the franchise gradually.

"I'm planning up to the eighth sequel currently," he said, with the goal being to show the evolution of his character with every case he takes on, to become wiser and more experienced.

"We also want the action to evolve and change little by little in the movies, and you will be able to see that in the fourth sequel," added Lee.

Heo Myeong-Haeng, who was the film series' stunt coordinator before turning to directing, said that he felt some pressure but was comforted by the high calibre of the cast and the script.

"It of course contains the same fun and action elements as the previous films. What's different is that we have new villains, and they have very good chemistry," he told Reuters.

The Crime City series began with The Outlaws in 2017, one of Korea's highest-grossing R-rated films, followed by The Roundup in 2022 and The Roundup: No Way Out in 2023.

Actor Kim Moo-Yul, who plays the villain Baek Chang-gi, said that Heo's background gave him confidence for the action scenes.

"The action was pretty difficult to shoot, but his experience made them easier and everything went really smoothly," said Kim, who added that he did a lot of physical preparation for the role of an ex-special forces killer.

"I did a lot exercising with a dagger," he recalled.

Port Charles actor David Gail, who tragically passed away last month at the age of 58, died from brain and heart complications following drug intoxication involving amphetamines, cocaine, ethanol, and fentanyl. His mother, Mary Painter, is now speaking out about the dangers of pharmaceutical addiction and the fentanyl epidemic.

Gail's official cause of death was reported as anoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, a brain injury due to lack of blood flow, following resuscitation from cardiopulmonary arrest due to drug intoxication.

Painter revealed that Gail became reliant on medicine after multiple surgeries on his hands and wrists. She said that Gail struggled to stop taking pharmaceuticals and eventually turned toward Eastern pain management methods.

Expressing how deeply she has been affected by her son's death, Painter in a statement to Deadline said “It breaks my heart to learn that my son died this way."

“David became reliant on medicine many years ago, after multiple surgeries on his hands and wrists. He lived in enough pain to prevent him from working for almost a decade, with relief only achieved through full disability, physical therapy and pain medicine. He struggled to stop taking pharmaceuticals and did before turning toward a more Eastern pain management including acupuncture and natural medicines. I can only assume that his former opioid dependence played a part in self-medicating from uncontrolled sources."

“David’s death shines a light on the countless innocent victims of pharmaceutical addiction and the fentanyl epidemic that has taken so many of our sons and daughters,” the actor’s mother added. “Please keep David and others battling pain or dependence, in your thoughts and prayers.”

Former talk show host Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with the same form of dementia that actor Bruce Willis has, a statement released Thursday on behalf of her caretakers says.

The statement said the 59-year-old’s diagnoses of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia “have already presented significant hurdles in Wendy’s life” and have behavioural and cognitive impacts.

“Wendy is still able to do many things for herself. Most importantly she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed. She is appreciative of the many kind thoughts and good wishes being sent her way,” the statement attributed to her care team said.

The statement on Williams’ health was issued on PR Newswire. A representative listed on the release, Jennifer Hanley, referred questions back to the statement when contacted by The Associated Press.

The announcement came a day after a cover story in People magazine quoted Williams’ family about the nature of her struggles, ahead of a Lifetime documentary set to air Saturday.

“The people who love her cannot see her,” People quoted Williams’ sister Wanda as saying. “I think the big (question) is: How the hell did we get here?” The family said a court-appointed legal guardian was the only person with unfettered access to Williams.

The article said the Lifetime documentary crew, which set out in 2022 to chronicle Williams’ comeback, stopped filming in April 2023 when her manager “and jeweller” Will Selby says in footage for the film, she entered a facility to treat “cognitive issues.” Her son says in the documentary that doctors had connected her cognitive issues to alcohol use, People reported.

Her family told People they don’t know where she is and cannot call her themselves, but she can call them.

The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration describes FTD as a group of brain disorders caused by degeneration of the frontal and/or temporal lobes of the brain that affects behaviour, language and movement. Aphasia, a brain disorder that can lead to problems speaking or understanding words, can be a symptom of it. The association describes frontotemporal degeneration as “an inevitable decline in functioning,” with an average life expectancy of seven to 13 years after the onset of symptoms.

FTD usually occurs in people in their 40s, 50s and early 60s. It can affect a person’s personality, causing a loss of inhibition or inappropriate behaviour. It is sometimes mistaken for depression or bipolar disorder and can take years to diagnose.

There are no treatments to slow or stop the disease, but some interventions can help manage symptoms.

The association was involved in the disclosure of Willis’ diagnosis in February 2023, hosting a statement posted by the actor’s family.

“We thank Wendy Williams for having the courage to make her diagnosis public and raise awareness of the disease,” association CEO Susan Dickinson said in a statement. “We know that a diagnosis like this can be heartbreaking, but she is not alone. While there may not be a cure, every day we are working to improve care and research into treatments for this disease.”

Thursday’s statement credited Weill Cornell Medicine in New York with the care and expertise Williams received. Weill Cornell declined to comment.

Williams rose to fame in part due to her no-boundaries approach to her life, which included sharing personal details about her health, plastic surgery and cocaine addiction — the subject of her 2003 memoir, “Wendy’s Got the Heat.”

A hallmark of The Wendy Williams Show, which competed for viewers with Ellen DeGeneres’ show, was her signature phrase, “How you doin’?” She transitioned to television after a successful career as a radio host, known for her hot takes on gossip and skewering of celebrities, including a contentious 2003 interview with Whitney Houston.

In 2022, Williams’ self-titled daytime talk show ended because of her ongoing health issues. Sherri Shepherd, who filled in for Williams as a guest host, received her own show.

Williams said in 2018 that she had been diagnosed years before with Graves’ disease, which leads to the overproduction of thyroid hormones and can cause wide-ranging symptoms and affect overall health.

Former talk show host Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with the same form of dementia that actor Bruce Willis has, a statement released Thursday on behalf of her caretakers says.

In People's recent cover story about Williams, Mark Ford, the executive producer of the documentary, stated that Williams, her attorneys, and the guardianship attorneys were consulted and signed off on the project. However, the film took a different direction than initially planned, showing Williams grappling with alcohol addiction, Graves' disease, and lymphedema.

"The film was signed off on by Wendy, her management, her attorneys, the guardianship," he said. "They were aware of the filming all the way through. So, we did go by the book and get all the permissions that we needed to get. We went into this film thinking it was one thing, and the truth turned out to be another. Once we started seeing the truth of the situation, we couldn't ignore it. And the film had to go in the direction of the truth."

Famous adult film actress Kagney Linn Karter has tragically passed away at 36. According to reports, Kagney was found dead at her residence in Parma, Ohio on Thursday, with TMZ later confirming her death as a suicide.

Her friends have set up a GoFundMe page to support her mother, Tina, with the expenses for her memorial. They also announced that any extra funds raised would go towards supporting an animal rescue, reflecting Kagney's love for animals.

According to the adult star's fans, Kagney struggled with mental health issues over the years. They described her as a talented performer, singer, and dancer, highlighting her passion for pole dancing.

Kagney moved to Cleveland in 2019 and immersed herself in the local pole dancing community, eventually opening her own studio. In a touching tribute, her friends remembered Kagney as someone who always showed up, even in her darkest days, ready to learn and contribute. They emphasised her dedication to bettering herself and her commitment to the beauty and athleticism of pole dancing.

"Kagney was a woman who wore many hats; she was a performer, a singer, a dancer, a daughter and a friend. She first came to our Cleveland studio in November of 2019, freshly moved out of LA, rearing and ready to jump back in to pole, in a brand new community where she knew no one and no one knew her. She wasn't intimidated or anxious. The fact that she was the new kid on the block didn't bother her in the least. She immediately warmed to the studio and all the students with an effortless grace, and it soon felt as if she had always been apart of the studio, from the very beginning," the GoFundMe page description read.

"Unfortunately, despite all of her many impressive accomplishments and talents, Kagney struggled with mental health issues as the years passed by. Even in her darkest days, however, she still showed up to the studio, always ready to learn, contribute, better herself in whatever small way she could manage. As alone as she undoubtedly felt within the confines of her own head, she continued to make an effort to show up for her friends and the community who cared about her. She fought her own battles with the same tenacity and drive she showed in every other area of her life, with as much strength as she could."

"My father was a recipient of a lung transplant so organ donation is a big, big thing to me and talking about it. This movie came about three months after my dad passed, so I got this opportunity, I feel like it was sent by my dad, and to tell a movie about an extraordinary human being and family…. I think it would have been my dad's favourite movie of mine," the actress said on the Today show.

In a touching Instagram post in December 2021, Swank reflected on her father's passing, noting that it had helped her understand the circle of life and connect with her true self. "In this physical loss, as devastating as it is, I was awakened to the truest sense of living again. It helped me better understand the circle of life and where we come from and where we go back to, which has connected me back to my truest self. It helped me forgive, to move past the things that hold me back, in whatever form that takes each day. As well as being deeply connected to the Ultimate Source and therefore, my Dad, always," her caption read.

Swank announced the birth of her twins, Aya and Ohm, with her husband Philip Schneider in April 2023.

The Oscar winner, 49, looked radiant in a crimson red crepe satin dress from the designer's Made-to-Order collection. Swank's elegant ensemble included a draped corset bodice and an off-the-shoulder neckline, complemented by soft makeup and side-swept hair. She accessorised with Kwiat diamond stud earrings and a Fred Leighton ruby and diamond ring. Ordinary Angels, set to release later this year, features Swank as Sharon, a hairdresser who finds purpose in helping a family facing a medical crisis. The film's trailer, released in May 2023, offers a glimpse into the heartwarming story of faith and resilience. During an appearance on the Today show, Swank shared that the film's theme of organ donation resonates deeply with her, following her father's lung transplant and subsequent passing in October 2021. Swank took a break from acting from 2014 to 2017 to care for her father during his transplant and recovery.
