Trouble brewed for American rapper Danielle Bregoli, famously known as Bhad Bhabie, as a heated argument with her boyfriend, Le Vaughn, allegedly escalated into chaos at an Los Angeles restaurant over the weekend. TMZ obtained footage revealing the tense exchange between the couple just moments before a brawl erupted involving the American rapper's entourage.

In the newly surfaced video, Bhad Bhabie can be seen visibly upset, engaged in a heated exchange with Le Vaughn. While the exact cause of their argument remains unclear, Danielle appeared visibly angered by the confrontation.

The argument unfolded shortly before a physical altercation broke out between Bhad Bhabie's friends and another group at the restaurant. Initial reports suggested that Danielle and her companions were provoked by intoxicated women, but the new footage hints at underlying tensions between Danielle and Le Vaughn.

Although Danielle's representatives claimed that she was not directly involved in the violence, eyewitnesses alleged that she and Le Vaughn were also involved in the physical altercation. However, there is no concrete evidence supporting these claims apart from the heated exchange captured on camera.

Bhad Bhabie got into a fight at a restaurant.
Whenever Madonna sings the 1980s hit “La Isla Bonita” on her concert tour, moving images of swirling, sunset-tinted clouds play on the giant arena screens behind her. To get that ethereal look, the pop legend embraced a still-uncharted branch of generative artificial intelligence – the text-to-video tool. Type some words — say, “surreal cloud sunset” or “waterfall in the jungle at dawn” — and an instant video is made.

Following in the footsteps of AI chatbots and still image-generators, some AI video enthusiasts say the emerging technology could one day upend entertainment, enabling you to choose your own movie with customizable storylines and endings. But there’s a long way to go before they can do that and plenty of ethical pitfalls on the way.

For early adopters like Madonna, who’s long pushed art’s boundaries, it was more of an experiment. She nixed an earlier version of “La Isla Bonita” concert visuals that used more conventional computer graphics to evoke a tropical mood.

“We tried CGI. It looked pretty bland and cheesy and she didn’t like it,” said Sasha Kasiuha, content director for Madonna’s Celebration Tour that continues through late April. “And then we decided to try AI.”

ChatGPT-maker OpenAI gave a glimpse of what sophisticated text-to-video technology might look like when the company recently showed off Sora, a new tool that’s not yet publicly available. Madonna’s team tried a different product from New York-based startup Runway, which helped pioneer the technology by releasing its first public text-to-video model last March. The company released a more advanced “Gen-2" version in June.

Runway CEO Cristóbal Valenzuela said while some see these tools as a “magical device that you type a word and somehow it conjures exactly what you had in your head,” the most effective approaches are by creative professionals looking for an upgrade to the decades-old digital editing software they’re already using. He said Runway can’t yet make a full-length documentary. But it could help fill in some background video, or b-roll — the supporting shots and scenes that help tell the story.

“That saves you perhaps like a week of work,” Valenzuela said. “The common thread of a lot of use cases is people use it as a way of augmenting or speeding up something they could have done before.”

Runway’s target customers are “large streaming companies, production companies, post-production companies, visual effects companies, marketing teams, and advertising companies. A lot of folks that make content for a living,” Valenzuela said.

Dangers await. Without effective safeguards, AI video generators could threaten democracies with convincing “deepfake” videos of things that never happened, or — as is already the case with AI image generators — flood the internet with fake pornographic scenes depicting what appear to be real people with recognizable faces. Under pressure from regulators, major tech companies have promised to watermark AI-generated outputs to help identify what’s real.

There also are copyright disputes brewing about the video and image collections the AI systems are being trained upon (neither Runway nor OpenAI discloses its data sources) and to what extent they are unfairly replicating trademarked works. And there are fears that, at some point, video-making machines could replace human jobs and artistry.

For now, the longest AI-generated video clips are still measured in seconds and can feature jerky movements and telltale glitches such as distorted hands and fingers. Fixing that is “just a question of more data and more training,” and the computing power on which that training depends, said Alexander Waibel, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University who’s been researching AI since the 1970s.

“Now I can say, ‘Make me a video of a rabbit dressed as Napoleon walking through New York City,’” Waibel said. “It knows what New York City looks like, what a rabbit looks like, what Napoleon looks like.”

Which is impressive, he said, but still far from crafting a compelling storyline.

Before it released its first-generation model last year, Runway’s claim to AI fame was as a co-developer of the image-generator Stable Diffusion. Another company, London-based Stability AI, has since taken over Stable Diffusion’s development.

“What diffusion models do is they reverse that process,” said Phillip Isola, an associate professor of computer science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. “They kind of take the randomness and they congeal it back into the volume. That’s the way of going from randomness to content. And that’s how you can make random videos.”

The last two weeks of July were all about finding the cutest pink outfits and flocking cinema halls with our Kens to watch Margot Robbie step into the shoes of our beloved Barbie and live our childhood all over again. The craze around the film is hard to describe in words, but the numbers it did at the box office can certainly give an idea of how big of a cultural phenomenon the film Barbie became in the year 2023. For those unaware, Barbie has grossed $1.38 billion globally, making it the biggest film of 2023. It's also the 14th highest-grossing movie of all time.

Before we talk about the Greta Gerwig film, let's first shed some light on the subject of the movie, which totally deserves a mention.

In the realm of toys, one name has stood the test of time and captivated the hearts of children worldwide, and that's none other than the Barbie dolls. For over six decades, this iconic doll has evolved from a mere plaything into a global cultural phenomenon, transcending borders and leaving an indelible mark on generations.

Introduced by Mattel in 1959, Barbie has become more than just a toy; she represents an enduring symbol of imagination, empowerment, and versatility. Her ability to adapt to changing times and cultural shifts has been a key factor in her sustained popularity.

One of the reasons behind Barbie's global appeal is her adaptability in embracing diverse themes and occupations. From a pioneering astronaut to a compassionate doctor, Barbie has mirrored evolving societal norms, providing children with a myriad of role models and fostering a sense of inclusivity.

The fashion-forward nature of Barbie has also played a pivotal role in her cultural significance. Over the years, she has been a trendsetter, showcasing an extensive wardrobe, accessories, and hairstyles.

Beyond the toy aisle, Barbie has successfully ventured into various forms of media, including movies, TV shows, and video games. Collaborations with popular franchises and characters have not only expanded Barbie's reach but have also solidified her status as a cultural icon with a presence beyond the playroom.

The Barbie Movie Craze

In an era where toys come and go, Barbie's resilience is noteworthy. So when I heard that a movie was being made on Barbie, I was counting the days and eagerly waiting for the release date. When the day finally came, i.e. July 21, 2023, I was blown away by what I saw on the screen. The movie did not just explore innovative storytelling, it also challenged traditional norms and addressed relevant societal themes. Hence, I feel it should stand out in the eyes of the Academy.

The film successfully resonated with diverse audiences and contributed to discussions around representation, feminism, and societal expectations. Outstanding cinematography, production design, costume design, and other technical aspects contributed to the film's overall quality and appeal.

Greta Gerwig's reputation for bringing depth to storytelling elevated the Barbie narrative beyond the expectations associated with the character. Her ability to craft compelling narratives, develop complex characters, and help actors deliver outstanding performances contributed to the film's artistic merit, making it worthy of an Oscar nomination.

The film also had a substantial impact on popular culture. Remember, how it triggered the 'Barbiecore' trend and everyone, including celebrities, influencers and fashion enthusiasts, revamped their wardrobes to add every shade of pink to their collection. Not just clothes, but even makeup trends became largely influenced by Barbie dolls. Margot Robbie deserves credit for it all. The actress made sure she recreated several of Barbie's iconic looks for red carpet appearances, award shows and noteworthy events. She grabbed headlines throughout the year for her stunning odes to the iconic doll.

We also have to credit Mattel and Warner Bros. for partnering with several brands including Crocs, Fossil, Boohoo, Zara, Bloomingdales and Pinkberry among others. The fashion and makeup collaborations were expected. But Barbie pasta? Barbie burger? Barbie XBox?
Barbie's Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie Snubbed by Oscars

Despite being nominated for Best Picture, the Academy has faced criticism for snubbing Greta Gerwig as director and Margot Robbie in the Best Actress category. The Associated Press labelled Gerwig's exclusion from the Best Director category at the Oscars as "one of the biggest shocks in recent memory." Some fans directed their frustration towards Ken. USA Today highlighted a comment from a user on X, noting that Ryan Gosling's nomination for Best Supporting Actor while Gerwig and Robbie were overlooked "kind of proves the point of the movie," emphasising the persistence of the patriarchy.

The film is not only entertaining but also a clever and subversive cultural commentary, which Barbie fans believe that Oscar voters failed to recognise. Several netizens have argued that the Academy seemed unable or unwilling to see beyond the surface of the film to appreciate its imaginative and substantive qualities and the meticulous direction of Gerwig.

8 Oscar Nominations for Barbie

The film Barbie received eight Oscar nominations, including best picture, America Ferrera for supporting actress, Ryan Gosling for supporting actor, Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach for adapted screenplay, “I'm Just Ken” and “What Was I Made For?” for original song, as well as costume design and production design.

Now as we wait for the Academy to announce the winner of the Best Picture category, let's take a moment to appreciate this cinematic excellence we all will remember for years and decades to come.

The Oscars will air on ABC, starting at 7 pm ET on March 10.

Several netizens have argued that the Academy seemed unable or unwilling to see beyond the surface of the film to appreciate its imaginative and substantive qualities and the meticulous direction of Gerwig. 8 Oscar Nominations for Barbie The film Barbie received eight Oscar nominations, including best picture, America Ferrera for supporting actress, Ryan Gosling for supporting actor, Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach for adapted screenplay, “I'm Just Ken” and “What Was I Made For?” for original song, as well as costume design and production design. Now as we wait for the Academy to announce the winner of the Best Picture category, let's take a moment to appreciate this cinematic excellence we all will remember for years and decades to come. The Oscars will air on ABC, starting at 7 pm ET on March 10.

Paris Fashion Week witnessed a moment of bewitching allure as Kim Kardashian graced the Balenciaga show on Sunday, exuding an aura reminiscent of the iconic Morticia Addams from the beloved fictional Addams Family. Kardashian, renowned for her fashion-forward sensibilities, captivated onlookers in a monochrome black ensemble, channelling the mystique of the infamous matriarch. Dressed in a black lace Balenciaga gown with a long train and an open back, paired with a sleek high ponytail, the 43-year-old celebrity effortlessly embodied the essence of Morticia Addams. A striking detail of Kardashian's attire was the presence of a dangling tag from her black sheer dress, initially perplexing observers before unveiling itself as a deliberate element orchestrated by Balenciaga's creative director, Demna Gvasalia. Liam Payne, the 30-year-old singer known for hits like "Strip That Down," and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy are proving that their love is still going strong. The couple, who have been together for over a year, were spotted walking hand-in-hand in Paris. For their outing in the romantic city, Payne opted for a stylish look, wearing a cropped, double-breasted jacket and oversized green trousers, paired with matching platform dress shoes. Cassidy, on the other hand, looked stunning in a sheer, striped Alaïa dress, which she later gushed about on Instagram, writing, “Pardon my French but I f***ing love this dress.” Cassidy shared more of their France trip on Instagram, including a sweet mirror selfie where Payne wrapped his arm around her waist. "I am happy to be in Paris,” she captioned the post.
Singapore said Monday its grant to Taylor Swift for her concerts in the city was nowhere near as high as speculated, following media reports that the superstar was offered millions of dollars per gig. Around 300,000 people from Singapore and around the region are expected to attend the six sold-out shows that began March 2 -- but some neighbours were not happy about being left off The Eras Tour.

Some, including reportedly the Thai prime minister, have said that Swift was paid millions to keep her from performing anywhere else in the region.

"There has been some online speculation as to the size of the grant. I can say that it is not accurate and not anywhere as high as speculated," Singapore's culture minister Edwin Tong told parliament. "Due to business confidentiality reasons, we cannot reveal the specific size of the grant or the conditions of the grant."

Tong added that the "economic benefits to Singapore are assessed to be significant and outweigh the size of the grant".

Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin had reportedly said, citing a concert promoter, that Singapore offered Swift up to US$3 million per concert if she did not play anywhere else in Southeast Asia. Singapore says Taylor Swift gig grant not as high as speculated

The gilded salons of a grand 18th-century townhouse were the hallowed venue for Valentino’s latest fashion display on Sunday – an ode to black. This monochromatic collection gleamed and glistened under crystal chandeliers amid myriad textures and materials, inspired by great artists such as the French master of black, Pierre Soulages.

Moons away, in the shadowy expanse of an icy-cold industrial warehouse crisscrossed by disused iron tracks and raw concrete surfaces, Alexander McQueen’s shivering guests huddled under blankets, buzzing with an air of electric anticipation. Because this wasn’t just another fashion show: it marked the first page of a new chapter for a house steeped in an iconoclastic history — and the debut of new creative director Sean McGirr.

Here are some highlights of fall-winter ready-to-wear collections:

VALENTINO’S NOIR

Designer Pierpaolo Piccioli said he “approached black as a canvas, a starting point on which to build … silhouettes that could move while looking for lights around, to soak them in and reflect them.”

The couturier was fascinated by the colour’s contradictions — used for uniform and individuality, representing sobriety and exuberance, lacking light yet soaking up reflections. It evoked the philosophy of Soulages, who died in 2022.

Thus, with a tinge of Valentino’s 1980s heyday and glamour, all-black looks sauntered by as daywear and evening merged indistinguishably owing to the colour’s intense allure.

Signature house looks were reimagined with a modern flair — think a voluminous black rosette adorning a sleeve, or the delicate tease of skin beneath tiered silk, not to mention sporty A-line skirts accented with tubular ruffles.

Though feathers, leathers, sequins, and lace provided subtle textural tensions, they did not provide quite enough of a lift to stop the collection from falling into the danger of such one colour-themed show: Feeling one-note.

Nevertheless, the series of gowns that ended the collection were a sublime study in chicness, such as one exquisite sheer chiffon floor-sweeping gown. Delicate baubles peppered were poetically dotted upon it like a constellation of black stars.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN’S NEW BEGINNINGS

The pressure was palpable for McGirr, the relatively unknown 35-year-old Dublin-born designer, to unveil in this debut a vision and identity after 14 illustrious years of Sarah Burton. Burton, who parted ways with McQueen last season, had woven her narrative into the brand’s darkly romantic ethos after its visionary founder’s sudden, tragic death, leaving big shoes to fill.

Tagged “Rough opulence” and intent on “unveiling the animal within,” McGirr’s first foray resonated with the core tenets laid down by Alexander McQueen: a fusion of Gothic allure, a provocation, an ode to historical fashion, and the brand’s hallmark of dramatic tailoring.

The show unfurled with a model emerging from the shadows in a sinisterly twisted black laminated dress that seemed to swallow her hands whole — a striking image of constriction that reappeared throughout the collection. This binding theme was echoed in cords winding around slim-legged jeans and robust boots morphing into horses’ hooves, trailing tails, and ominous broad leather coats.

However, designs occasionally verged on the obvious, with pattered historic Renaissance sleeve gowns and bulky “car tire”-like knitwear lacking the subtlety associated with his predecessor. Though the collection sparkled with promising moments of audacity, McGirr prioritized a play-it-safe approach over the risk of a misstep by pushing the envelope. Perhaps this debut may have benefitted from being presented in a less pressurized, lower-octane, and more intimate format.

Nonetheless, amid the collection’s sombre reflections, a surprising undercurrent of delight and whimsy surfaced, most notably through the stirring melody of his compatriot Enya’s “Sail Away” filling the air. It infused the space with a buoyant optimism subtly echoed in McGirr’s oft-playful creations.

MUGLER’S MIST-INFUSED SHADOW, LIGHT AND DRAMA

Mist-filled theatrics left Mugler’s guests in awe during the Sunday night spectacle, with dramatic staging that included cascading curtains, strobe lights and smoke machines to evoke drama.

Layers of curtains fell in the revamped Lycee Carnot school atrium, watched by VIPs such as Brooklyn Beckham, where models utilized shadows and light to enhance already striking looks.

Asymmetry, skin and corsetry were everywhere.

Since his debut, designer Casey Cadwallader’s approach has been starkly sexy, challenging conventional fashion ideals with a hard exploration of the human form. This fall was no exception.

Bras atop bare torsos paired with oversized black tuxedos. Mini dresses that clung to the body had loose, fluttering bands at the hem. Themes of concealment were prevalent, with sheer fabrics revealing nipples and strategically placed fabric sections only just providing modesty.

The American designer continues to make significant waves in the Paris fashion world.

This season again, he championed inclusivity, showcasing models of every ethnicity, size (including several plus-sized models), and a broad age range, highlighted by the radiant 63-year-old Farida Khelfa in a show-stopping, brilliantly vivid red fringed poncho-dress.

Cadwallader’s presentations are known as events that blend performance, art and fashion, incorporating digital elements to create engaging shows that resonate with a contemporary audience, ensuring that Mugler is once more a dynamic player in today’s fashion conversation.

Activists from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) recently tried to disrupt Victoria Beckham's fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. The demonstrators took to the runway during the event and joined Beckham's models to highlight their T-shirts, adorned with the message "Animals aren't fabric". They were also holding signs that read "Viva vegan leather."

While Beckham's fashion brand has a policy against using fur or exotic skins, PETA's protest targeted her use of leather in her designs.

Mimi Bekhechi, PETA's European president, was quoted by the BBC saying, "No garment or accessory is worth violently slaughtering and skinning a sensitive and intelligent animal. We are urging Victoria Beckham to turn instead to the ethical and eco-friendly innovations available today, such as high-end leather made from apples, grapes, pineapples, mushrooms, and more."

Despite the disruption, Beckham appeared unfazed, closing the show with a confident stride despite using crutches and wearing a black protective boot on her left foot due to an injury sustained at the gym.

Alaia Baldwin Aronow, sister of Hailey Bieber and daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, made headlines on February 24 due to her arrest in Savannah, Ga., after an alleged bar fight. The Savannah Police Department confirmed that Aronow, a model and influencer with a substantial following on Instagram, was charged with simple assault and battery, as well as criminal trespassing, stemming from a physical altercation at Club Elan.

According to reports, security cameras at the bar captured Aronow attempting to use a staff-only bathroom, leading to a confrontation with bar workers.
Prince Harry scored a tactical victory in his battles with British tabloids Friday when government ministers said he could use confidential documents that show payments by the publisher of the Daily Mail to private investigators who allegedly snooped on him and several celebrities.

The Duke of Sussex, Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley and others claim that Associated Newspapers Ltd. hacked their phones or used other unlawful means, such as bugging and other electronic surveillance to spy on them.

Don Henley was asked in a New York courtroom Monday about a seamy episode from his past: his 1980 arrest after authorities said they found drugs and a naked 16-year-old girl suffering from an overdose at the Eagles co-founder’s Los Angeles home.

Henley was testifying at an unrelated criminal trial, where three collectables dealers are charged with conspiring to own and attempt to sell handwritten draft lyrics to “Hotel California” and other Eagles hits without the right to do so. The men have pleaded not guilty.

A prosecutor asked about the singer and drummer’s November 1980 arrest early on, apparently to get ahead of defence lawyers. They previously indicated that they planned to question the 76-year-old about his memory of the era and his lifestyle at the time.

The arrest was briefly reported on at the time, and it gained only a passing mention during the recent #MeToo movement when many such incidents involving public figures were reexamined.

On Monday, Henley told the court that he called for a sex worker that night because he “wanted to escape the depression I was in” over the breakup of the superstar band.

“I wanted to forget about everything that was happening with the band, and I made a poor decision which I regret to this day. I’ve had to live with it for 44 years. I’m still living with it today, in this courtroom. Poor decision,” Henley testified in a raspy drawl.

As he did in a 1991 interview with GQ magazine, Henley testified that he didn’t know the girl’s age until after his arrest and that he went to bed with the girl, but never had sex with her.

“I don’t remember the anatomical details, but I know there was no sex,” said Henley, who said they’d done cocaine together and talked for many hours about his band’s breakup and her estrangement from her family.

He said he called firefighters, who checked the girl’s health, found her to be OK and left, with him promising to take care of her. The paramedics, who found her in the nude, called police, authorities said at the time.

Henley said Monday that she recovered and was preparing to leave with a friend she’d had him call when police arrived hours later.

At the time, authorities said they found cocaine, quaaludes and marijuana at his Los Angeles home.

Henley pleaded no contest in 1981 to a misdemeanour charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was sentenced to probation and a $2,500 fine, and he requested a drug education program to get some possession charges dismissed.

Henley was asked about the incident on Monday before he gave the court his version of how handwritten pages from the development of the band’s blockbuster 1976 album made their way from his Southern California barn to New York auctions decades later.

Testimony at trial Monday turned emotional and argumentative as an eyewitness recounted the fatal 2021 shooting of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin during a movie rehearsal and described gun misfires, crew members walking out and a “ludicrous” pace of work.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was the armourer for the upcoming Western movie Rust, is fighting charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence at a trial that entered its third day of testimony Monday. A trial date was set for Baldwin in July on a single charge of involuntary manslaughter in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. He has pleaded not guilty.

Defence attorneys highlighted Gutierrez-Reed’s unusual disadvantage and vulnerability at the time as a part-time, 24-year-old armourer without trade-union membership on a set where few dared confront Baldwin directly about concerns about safety and related budgeting.

Monday’s testimony veered into the actor’s handling of the revolver that killed Hutchins — including a video of Baldwin twice practising a cross-draw manoeuvre for a camera on Oct. 21, 2021, shortly before the fatal shooting that day. Investigators found no video of the shooting.

The video of Baldwin was accompanied by searing testimony from Ross Addiego, a front-line Rust crew member who helped guide the film’s camera. Addiego said that in the moments after a shot rang out on set, he made eye contact with a wounded Hutchins and tried to calm wounded director Joel Souza.

“The first person I made eye contact with was Halyna, who was clearly injured. In fact, she was starting to go flush and I think holding her right side,” said Addiego, breaking into tears. “I think I yelled out, ‘If you can’t help, get ... out of here, and someone calls 911.’”

Prosecutors guided Addiego through testimony in which he described his anger and frustration with safety procedures on set, including the sight of a storage cart for guns and ammunition that frequently appeared to be unattended and Gutierrez-Reed’s work as an armourer in charge of loading guns with blank and dummy rounds. Investigators found six live rounds on the set of “Rust,” including the one that killed Hutchins.

Addiego noted two gun misfires on set — confirmed as blank rounds without projectiles by workplace safety regulators — and just one safety meeting over the course of about two work weeks when daily meetings are the norm.

He said prior to the fatal shooting he lodged safety complaints with union representatives and the film’s top safety official, assistant director David Halls, who pleaded no contest last year to a charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon and may be called on to testify.

“At times we seemed to be working at ludicrous speeds,” said Addiego, who also testified to the grand jury that indicted Baldwin in January. “We always seemed to be rushed and under the gun.”

In a tense cross-examination, defence attorney Jason Bowles asked Addiego whether he was aware that Gutierrez-Reed had unsuccessfully requested more time to focus on her responsibilities as armourer instead of other prop duties, such as rolling cowboy cigarettes.

“Did you ever stand up to Mr. Baldwin and say, ‘No, we’re not going to move this fast?’” Bowles asked.

“That’s not my job,” Addiego said.

Bowles continued: “With everybody else, grown men, not standing up to Mr. Baldwin, wouldn’t you find that difficult for her also?”

He noted that Addiego has sued Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions and questioned his motives in testifying.

“Are you hoping that you can come in and testify here today and something happens to Ms. Gutierrez-Reed and it will help your lawsuit?” Bowles asked.

“I’m hoping for justice, sir,” Addiego responded. “Two people were injured on a film set. That has affected not only me, that has affected the film industry.”

Also on Monday, prosecutors called on a series of FBI forensic experts in firearms, fingerprinting, gunpowder and DNA-evidence tracing to testify about their examination of a revolver and ammunition seized from the “Rust” set and an ammunition supplier to the film based in Albuquerque.

Prosecutors argue that Gutierrez-Reed is to blame for bringing live ammunition on set. They say six live rounds found on the Rust set bear identical characteristics — and don’t match live rounds seized from the movie’s supplier in Albuquerque.

Defense attorneys for Gutierrez-Reed have pointed out shortcomings in the collection of evidence from the set, and say that ammunition supplier Seth Kenney wasn’t properly investigated, and never submitted fingerprints.

FBI firearms expert Bryce Ziegler testified about his analysis of a gun held by Baldwin in the shooting. He said the revolver and its safety features were fully functional when it arrived at an FBI laboratory for testing.

“When I received the firearm and I did an initial function examination, it did not appear that any of the safeties were malfunctioning or anything like that,” Ziegler said.

But Ziegler described additional “accidental discharge testing” on the gun in response to Baldwin’s assertions that the gun went off when he did not press the trigger. Ziegler said the only way he could get the gun to fire without pulling the trigger was by striking the gun with a mallet, knowing that it could break under the procedure and receiving permission to proceed.

“The function of that test is to see if I can get this firearm to fire without actually pulling the trigger,” Ziegler said.

“As I tested in my laboratory, it would not fire without pulling the trigger in the full-cocked setting, without being broken,” he said.
