<p>Super Bowl 2024 was all over the news last week due to several reasons. While Taylor Swift, Usher, and the clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers were the main topics of discussion, Justin Bieber also found himself in the spotlight.</p>

<p>Leading up to the halftime show, rumours swirled that Usher, who once mentored Bieber, had invited the pop star to join him on stage. However, Bieber opted to watch from the audience, disappointing fans who were hoping for his comeback performance. Usher recently shed some light on Bieber's decision to not get involved in the Super Bowl halftime performance during an interview with The Breakfast Club.</p>

<p>In the interview, Usher revealed that he had reached out to several artists for the Super Bowl halftime show, not just Bieber. He expressed understanding for Bieber's decision, stating, "I think it might have just been that he’s just wanting to tell a different story right now, and I did understand that."</p>

<p>Despite Bieber's absence from the Super Bowl stage, Usher hinted at future collaborations, saying, "We did have a brief conversation, and we’re gonna do something else in the future."</p>

<p>He also predicted that Bieber would eventually perform at the Super Bowl, saying, "[Bieber is] going to play the Super Bowl… I profess that over his life because he has a career that deserves it."</p>

<p>Bieber has been staying away from the spotlight lately. Post cancelling his 2022 Justice world tour citing health concerns, he has largely stayed out of the public eye. Before that, he revealed that he was suffering from&nbsp;Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears and often triggers symptoms like facial&nbsp;paralysis, ear pain, dizziness, and speech difficulties.</p>

<p>Taylor Swift donated $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the woman killed in the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade.</p>

<p>Two $50,000 donations were posted Friday under the singer’s name on a GoFundMe page. Swift’s representative confirmed the donations to Variety, the trade publication reported, and The Associated Press independently verified the posts.</p>

<p>“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift,” read the messages accompanying the posts.</p>

<p>Lopez-Galvan, 43, was shot Wednesday as she celebrated the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win with her husband, young adult son and hundreds of thousands of other fans at the city’s Union Station. Lopez-Galvan hosted “Taste of Tejano” on local radio station KKFI-FM, as Lisa G. The mother of two had deep roots in Kansas City, and was one of the few Latina DJs in the area.</p>

<p>“She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life,” the GoFundMe description reads. The fundraised had amassed over $200,000 as of Friday morning.</p>

<p>Comedian and actor Amy Schumer is clapping back at trolls who joked about her face being "puffier than normal". She revealed that she suffers from endometriosis but says she is "okay".&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 42-year-old star took to Instagram to address the comments, expressing gratitude for the feedback while emphasising that a woman should not need to explain her physical appearance.</p>

<p>Schumer shared in her post, "Thank you so much for everyone’s input about my face. I’ve enjoyed feedback and deliberation about my appearance as all women do for almost 20 years and you’re right it is puffier than normal right now. I have endometriosis, an autoimmune disease that every woman should read about. There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now but I’m okay."</p>

<p>She went on to advocate for self-love and acceptance, highlighting the importance of focusing on her work rather than her appearance. "Historically women’s bodies have barely been studied medically compared to men. The book ‘all in her head’ does a good job of explaining this. I also believe a woman doesn’t need any excuse for her physical appearance and owes no explanation. But I wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for self-love and acceptance of the skin you’re in," Schumer wrote.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>What is Endometriosis?</strong></p>

<p>Endometriosis is a medical condition where tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus, known as the endometrium, starts to grow outside the uterus. This can lead to pain, especially during menstruation, and sometimes can lead to&nbsp;fertility problems. The tissue can grow on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, outer surface of the uterus, and other organs in the pelvic region.</p>

<p>Endometriosis affects millions of women worldwide and can have a significant impact on quality of life. Treatment options include medication, surgery, and lifestyle changes.</p>

<p>Schumer has been open about her struggles with the condition, revealing in a previous Instagram video that she had her uterus and appendix removed due to endometriosis, which had caused significant health issues.</p>

Comedian and actor Amy Schumer is clapping back at trolls who joked about her face being "puffier than normal". She revealed that she suffers from endometriosis but says she is "okay".

Comedian and actor Amy Schumer is clapping back at trolls who joked about her face being "puffier than normal". She revealed that she suffers from endometriosis but says she is "okay". The 42-year-old star took to Instagram to address the comments, expressing gratitude for the feedback while emphasising that a woman should not need to explain her physical appearance. Schumer shared in her post, "Thank you so much for everyone’s input about my face. I’ve enjoyed feedback and deliberation about my appearance as all women do for almost 20 years and you’re right it is puffier than normal right now. I have endometriosis, an autoimmune disease that every woman should read about. There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now but I’m okay." She went on to advocate for self-love and acceptance, highlighting the importance of focusing on her work rather than her appearance. "Historically women’s bodies have barely been studied medically compared to men. The book ‘all in her head’ does a good job of explaining this. I also believe a woman doesn’t need any excuse for her physical appearance and owes no explanation. But I wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for self-love and acceptance of the skin you’re in," Schumer wrote. <p>In&nbsp;her acceptance speech at Billboard's Woman of the Year award ceremony in May last year, Shakira reflected on her journey as a woman, emphasising the importance of self-love and authenticity. She said, "This has been a year of seismic change in my life where I've felt more than ever — and very personally — what it is to be a woman. It's been a year where I've realised we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be. Because what woman hasn't at some time in her life forgotten herself because she's seeking the attention and love of someone else? It happened to me more than once."</p>

<p>Shakira added, "But there comes a time in the life of every woman where she no longer depends on someone else to love and accept herself just as she is. A time when the search for someone else is replaced by the search for oneself. A time when the desire to be perfect is replaced by the desire to be authentic, and where finding someone who is faithful is less important than being faithful to ourselves."</p>

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, officers responded to reports of assault and battery on Tuesday. He shared his struggles with anxiety and expressed hope that his experience would shed light on the disorder and offer support to others facing similar challenges. "I am deeply upset by the events that took place in Las Vegas this past week. My friend drove me to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. Several tests were taken, including blood, which came back negative for any drugs or alcohol in my system. I was having a severe anxiety attack," he wrote. "I have very little memory of the events that day at the hospital. I have the utmost respect for healthcare workers and hospital staff. I have battled anxiety on and off for years and this was the most extreme panic attack I've ever had. Going forward, I hope to shed light on this debilitating disorder and send hope to those who have also struggled." Alexx ONell, the multi-talented American actor and musician, has carved his niche in the entertainment industry with a blend of versatility and charisma. From captivating audiences with his performances in both English and Indian language films to enthralling music lovers with his songs, ONell's journey in showbiz is a testament to his passion and dedication. Born on July 26, 1980, ONell's artistic voyage began on the stages of community and regional theatres across the United States. However, it was his magnetic presence and innate talent that eventually drew him into the spotlight of international acclaim. ONell's repertoire boasts an impressive array of roles, spanning from character portrayals in Hindi features like Cheeni Kum to captivating performances in Loins of Punjab Presents. His notable appearances in films like Madrasapattinam, Joker, and Chittagong have earned him widespread recognition and accolades. Not content with just the silver screen, ONell ventured into the realm of television, captivating audiences with his charm and skill. His stint as a contestant on the esteemed Indian celebrity dance competition Nach Baliye further endeared him to viewers, showcasing his versatility beyond acting. Now, ONell has unveiled his latest musical endeavour, titled "Pride". In an exclusive conversation with WION, ONell revealed what motivated him to pen the song, the aspects of the track he is most proud of, his upcoming projects and much more. Read on! What was the initial spark or moment of inspiration that led you to create "Pride"? Was it a particular experience, emotion, or idea? All my music stems from personal experience and this particular song came out of a break-up a few years ago. For me, it takes a long time for a song to go from experience, to composition, to production and finally release… Anyway, there is a lot going on in the song, the verses tell the story, but the chorus really drives home the emotion. My relationship ended and, while I knew that much of that was my fault, I was determined to focus in that moment on myself, my self-worth, my Pride. I knew that eventually there would come a time for deeper evaluation of what went wrong, and ultimately time for regret, but now, in that instant, I was determined to regard the breakup as inevitable and entirely the other person's fault. I even refuse to remember the obviously good things so that I could survive the moment. I think this is a defence mechanism that a lot of us use - rather than sitting at home and dwelling on the two sides to a situation, sometimes we have to get out of the back-and-forth that's going on in our heads and even ‘celebrate’ a breakup - even if it’s not really being honest with ourselves. Is there a particular moment or aspect of the song or video that you're especially proud of? "Pride" represents my second collaboration with DJ Colin Sher’s ‘Cosher Studios’ in Cape Town. In this production, I love how producer David Pearce has once again helped me stay true to the original acoustic composition while this time paying homage to my favourites from the 90s like Nirvana, the 2000’s Counting Crowes, and even a bit of my favourites from the 70’s like the Doors (listen for the rock organ in the chorus). All the while we have made the song modern, especially in its rhythm section and vocal treatment. The result is that "Pride" is solidly current, while eliciting a tinge of 90's (and even 70's) rock nostalgia - and that’s not an easy task. After "These Four Walls", "Pride" is the second video on which South African DOP Danie Nel and I have collaborated and it was wonderful working with him once again. Both these videos have a quirky feel that I think really draws people in. For "These Four Walls" it’s the bizarre look and dreamy feel of a stranger wandering the city at night in a bathrobe and slippers. This time, in "Pride", it’s a magic elevator whisking me off to unexpected, and stunningly beautiful, places. Both required lots of shooting and editing, but the resulting videos are unique and captivating. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alexx O'Nell (@alexx_onell) "Pride" seems to touch upon themes of identity and self-expression. How do you navigate these themes personally, and how do they manifest in your artistic work? Great question! Personally, I don’t spend much time thinking about my identity day to day, maybe that's why it comes out in my music. I suppose in my life, introspecting while writing music is my therapy. I work through difficult moments by dwelling on them, and turning them over and over in my head, and then out loud with a guitar, and somehow at some point, out of all that madness, comes a melody and some rhymes. And I fall in love with them, and I nurture them until eventually they become a song. So, out of the turmoil comes something beautiful (at least to me) and so it’s ultimately a cathartic process. Music has a unique ability to foster empathy and connect people. How do you hope "Pride" will resonate with listeners, particularly those who may relate to its themes? Another great question! I hope "Pride" gives people in difficult situations permission to let go, celebrate, and live life. Even if they know that it’s not all ‘black and white’, and that they share some of the blame. And even when they know that they’re going to have some regrets about their role in what’s happened. Because while you may not be faultless, you have the right to love your life and to enjoy living it, and frankly, when you come back to the situation later, with a fresh perspective, perhaps you’ll be able to deal with it more effectively. But for now, regardless of what’s going on, sing along with the chorus- “Now is the time for my Pride!” - and lose yourself for a moment in whatever makes you happy! I guess that I’ve been able to do Music and Acting on my own terms. As an actor, I refused to work exclusively with any agency or production house, and as a musician, while I was signed with a major label for a while, I got out of that agreement and have been producing and releasing my original music and music videos independently since 2020. To say it has been challenging would be an understatement, it has required that I learn everything from the most mundane to the most exciting aspects of both industries. But this knowledge has been incredibly valuable, especially when guiding friends and colleagues. Above all, I’ve been free to do what I want, where I want, how I want, and when I want. While my acting career remains primarily in India, in 2023 I shifted my music career largely to South Africa where "Pride" is already on the radio and my last single "These Four Walls" continues to play daily in the 6 months post-release! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alexx O'Nell (@alexx_onell) How do you stay creatively inspired and motivated amidst the challenges of the industry? My answer here is related to my answer to your last question: I can remain motivated because I am free to choose where to devote my time and energy. In the film industry there will always be lulls - Generally in the monsoon outdoor shooting is sparse, and otherwise, there will be times when projects are just not working out. It is in those times that I can shift my focus to music and move on from whatever setbacks I may be experiencing in my film career. However, creativity in all its forms can also be draining, and so I have a number of other interests that refresh me - mainly motorcycling and paragliding. Truly, the best way to refuel creatively is by getting off shoot and out of the studio and living an exciting life! I regularly post about my adventures here on Instagram. Also watch: Taylor Swift sells 'Eras tour' concert film rights for more than $75 million Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations in the works that you're excited about? So many! As an actor, 2023’s highlights were Vishal Bhardwaj’s Khufiya in which I starred alongside Tabu and Ali Fazal, and Amazon’s ‘Sweet Kaaram Coffee’ with Madhoo. 2024 will see a number of my projects release including Dharmatic’s Hindi/English feature film Ae Watan Mere Watan, due out on the 22nd of March, in which I star alongside Sara Ali Khan. Next up is Raja Menon’s Hindi series Bak Bak with Divya Dutt slated for Amazon Prime Video. And there are a few more later in the year including Phule in which I shot with Patralekha and Pratik Gandhi for the first time. On the music front, 2023 was all about "These Four Walls". Presently I’m putting the finishing touches on my next single after "Pride" entitled "Ghosts". The new song and music video should be out in the middle of 2024. But for now, I’m in Cape Town, promoting "Pride" in South Africa and remotely in Europe. For the first time in my career I have not one, but two songs on the radio here, and "Pride" also premieres on the radio in The Netherlands later today!

<p>The casts of <em>Barbie</em>&nbsp;and <em>Oppenheimer</em>&nbsp;gathered Monday at the annual Academy Award nominees luncheon alongside dozens of less famous and first-time Oscar hopefuls for handshakes, hugs, a huge group picture and instructions on nailing an acceptance speech.</p>

<p>The event at the Beverly Hilton is a warm, feel-good affair where nominees in categories like best animated short get to rub shoulders and share tables with acting nominees like Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.</p>

<p>Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, whose snubs for best director and best actress, respectively, for <em>Barbie</em>&nbsp;caused a major stir, both showed up for the nominations they did get, and were all smiles.</p>

<p>Gerwig, nominated for adapted screenplay, was surrounded by selfie-seekers as soon as she entered the banquet hall while Robbie, up for best picture as a <em>Barbie</em>&nbsp;producer, beamed nearby as she hugged and chatted with a woman who got one of the best actress spots, Sandra Hüller of <em>Anatomy of a Fall</em>.</p>

<p>The centrepiece of the event is a class photo of the entire group of nominees. Nearly all of them usually attend, both as part of the Oscars experience and as part of their unspoken campaigns for votes.</p>

<p>Gerwig and Robbie got some of the loudest cheers of the afternoon when their names were called during the class picture roll call that feels like a school commencement and is perhaps the day’s most egalitarian tradition. The names are read and nominees are called up to risers in an order that seems to make no accounting for fame.</p>

<p>In one typical trio, Carey Mulligan, best actress nominee for <em>Maestro</em>, was summoned to the risers between David Hemingson, who was nominated for writing his first film, <em>The Holdovers</em>, and James Price, nominated for production design on <em>Poor Things</em>.</p>

<p>Martin Scorsese, 81, nominated this year for best director on <em>Killers of the Flower Moon</em>, may have gotten the loudest ovation of the day when he was called up. He sat between the favourites in the actress category, Da’Vine Joy Randolph of <em>The Holdovers</em>&nbsp;and Lily Gladstone from his film. Both towered over the shorter Scorsese. <em>Oppenheimer</em>&nbsp;director Christopher Nolan reached across Gladstone to shake his hand as he sat down.</p>

<p>Gerwig got a happy greeting from <em>Barbie</em>&nbsp;best supporting actor nominee Ryan Gosling, who kissed each of her cheeks.</p>

<p>The luncheon dress code is daytime casual. For Gosling that meant a lilac suit with a matching shirt, for Robbie a light pink beaded business suit with a bared midriff. Colman Domingo brought in a bit of evening with a tailed black jacket, black shirt with a plunging neckline and white slacks.</p>

<p>The first attempts at the photo didn’t go well. When they finally got a few that worked, Robert Downey Jr., supporting actor nominee for <em>Oppenheimer</em>, who had been shouting joke instructions to the group of several hundred, leapt up, pumped a fist and shouted “yeah!” then turned and began applauding his fellow nominees.</p>

<p>Most major nominees including Cillian Murphy, a favourite for best actor for <em>Oppenheimer</em>, and Bradley Cooper, one of his category competitors, spent the hours before and after lunch making the rounds of media outlets whose reporters are set up in cabanas around the Beverly Hilton pool.</p>

<p>Cooper was headed toward the pool when he ran into Messi, the dog with a key role in <em>Anatomy of a Fall</em>. Cooper knelt down and gave the border collie a long, thorough petting.</p>

<p>The nominees sat for a vegetarian meal of king oyster mushrooms and wild mushroom risotto while Academy President Janet Yang gave her annual remarks.</p>

<p>She used last year’s luncheon to address what she called the Academy’s “inadequate” response to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the previous year’s ceremony.</p>

<p>Her remarks this year had a much lighter tone, and dealt with more mundane matters more akin to a freshman orientation, like the timing of the Oscars ceremony.</p>

<p>“In case any of you have been in a nominations haze, we are starting an hour earlier this year,” she said.</p>

<p>When she saw surprise around the room she said, “Ooh, some people didn’t know! I’m glad I reminded you!”</p>

<p>She drew groans when she added that the Oscars come on the first day of daylight saving time.</p>

<p>She also delivered the president’s annual instructions on victory speeches, mostly urging winners to be brief and stick to the 45-second limit but also “speak from the heart,” “feel the moment” and “add a bit of humour.”</p>

<p>She then played a montage of past speeches that met the ideals, with clips from Jamie Lee Curtis, Brad Pitt and Ke Huy Quan.</p>

<p>It ended with the academy’s Platonic ideal of a speech played in its entirety: Javier Bardem’s 2008 acceptance of best supporting actor for <em>No Country for Old Men</em>. Total time: 37 seconds.</p>

<p>Whether it is her relatable pop songs, connection with millions of fans worldwide or role as a feminist icon, the power of Taylor Swift is now too large for academics to ignore. So much so that the University of Melbourne held a "Swiftposium" on Monday to discuss the Grammy-winning artist's influence across a range of disciplines before "The Eras Tour" arrives on Friday.</p>

<p>"It's just so incredible to see how many different ways you can unpack Taylor Alison Swift," explains Jennifer Beckett, University of Melbourne senior lecturer in media and communications.</p>

<p>The billionaire American is only 34 but can boost the economy of a city just by turning up.</p>

<p>"She's amassed such an enormous and, I think, unprecedented amount of power and influence in the industry, economically, her business models are intense," Beckett said.</p>

<p>"There's a lot that we can learn from her, but we also need to think critically.</p>

<p>"Do we need to be worried about some aspects of it? Should she be more vocal in her support for certain groups of people or issues? Is that something we should be expecting now that she has this level of power?," she said.</p>

<p>Swift's role as poet, feminist icon and canny businesswoman will also be discussed. The Melbourne symposium echoes a course at Belgium's Ghent University last year that examined whether Swift is "a literary genius".</p>

<p><strong>'Trained and controlled'</strong></p>

<p>One of the quirkier elements to emerge from the Melbourne conference is that academics believe the beats of her songs could also help in the resuscitation of hearts.</p>

<p>The Bee Gees song "Stayin' Alive" has been taught for years as a rhythm to follow in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and academics have now identified Swift's songs that hit the right beats per minute and may better engage younger generations.</p>

Whether it is her relatable pop songs, connection with millions of fans worldwide or role as a feminist icon, the power of Taylor Swift is now too large for academics to ignore.

Whether it is her relatable pop songs, connection with millions of fans worldwide or role as a feminist icon, the power of Taylor Swift is now too large for academics to ignore. So much so that the University of Melbourne held a "Swiftposium" on Monday to discuss the Grammy-winning artist's influence across a range of disciplines before "The Eras Tour" arrives on Friday. "It's just so incredible to see how many different ways you can unpack Taylor Alison Swift," explains Jennifer Beckett, University of Melbourne senior lecturer in media and communications. The billionaire American is only 34 but can boost the economy of a city just by turning up. "She's amassed such an enormous and, I think, unprecedented amount of power and influence in the industry, economically, her business models are intense," Beckett said. "There's a lot that we can learn from her, but we also need to think critically. "Do we need to be worried about some aspects of it? Should she be more vocal in her support for certain groups of people or issues? Is that something we should be expecting now that she has this level of power?," she said. Swift's role as poet, feminist icon and canny businesswoman will also be discussed. The Melbourne symposium echoes a course at Belgium's Ghent University last year that examined whether Swift is "a literary genius". 'Trained and controlled' One of the quirkier elements to emerge from the Melbourne conference is that academics believe the beats of her songs could also help in the resuscitation of hearts. The Bee Gees song "Stayin' Alive" has been taught for years as a rhythm to follow in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and academics have now identified Swift's songs that hit the right beats per minute and may better engage younger generations. "You used to be taught CPR to 'Stayin' Alive' but that’s just not vibing with Gen Z and millennials," Beckett said. "Swiftonomics", examining the economic effect of Swift's tour on cities, urban planning, public transport, restaurants and hotels is also being discussed. Sociologist Georgia Carroll, a keynote speaker, has studied how Swift encourages fans to splurge on her merchandise. "She rewards fans that spend money with attention... It's very trained and controlled," she said. A-list stars to confront dicey politics at Berlin film festival

<p>Move over Super Bowl commercials, because a new advertisement featuring Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh and popular adult film actor Johnny Sins has taken the internet by storm, showcasing a unique and desi take on promoting men's sexual health.</p>

<p>The advertisement, which is a playful parody of typical Indian daily soap operas, unfolds with all the dramatic flair of a family quarrel within a joint household. Clad in traditional attire, the entire cast, including Ranveer and Johnny, are seen immersing themselves in the melodrama.</p>

<p>In the commercial, Johnny sports a blue kurta paired with a golden jacket, while Ranveer dons a maroon kurta and flaunts long hair.</p>

<p>The plot thickens as Ranveer, playing the role of the concerned elder brother, confronts Johnny's wife about her decision to leave their household. What follows is a flurry of exaggerated emotions and theatrical confrontations among the family members.</p>

<p>However, the climax of the ad takes a hilarious turn when Johnny's wife discovers the secret to marital bliss – a medicine purportedly enhancing men's sexual health, prompting her to reconsider her departure.</p>

Move over Super Bowl commercials, because a new advertisement featuring Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh and popular adult film actor Johnny Sins has taken the internet by storm, showcasing a unique and desi take on promoting men's sexual health. The advertisement, which is a playful parody of typical Indian daily soap operas, unfolds with all the dramatic flair of a family quarrel within a joint household. Clad in traditional attire, the entire cast, including Ranveer and Johnny, are seen immersing themselves in the melodrama. In the commercial, Johnny sports a blue kurta paired with a golden jacket, while Ranveer dons a maroon kurta and flaunts long hair. The plot thickens as Ranveer, playing the role of the concerned elder brother, confronts Johnny's wife about her decision to leave their household. What follows is a flurry of exaggerated emotions and theatrical confrontations among the family members. However, the climax of the ad takes a hilarious turn when Johnny's wife discovers the secret to marital bliss – a medicine purportedly enhancing men's sexual health, prompting her to reconsider her departure. <p>Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, rapper Drake has placed a massive Bitcoin bet of $1.15 million on the Kansas City Chiefs to secure victory over the San Francisco 49ers. The Canadian artist shared a photo of his betting slip on social media with the caption, "I can't bet against the Swifties," referring to fans of pop sensation Taylor Swift.</p>

<p>While Drake appears content and self-assured regarding the potential victory of the Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor Swift's fan base seems perplexed. This confusion stems from the infamous "Drake Curse" phenomenon—a widely circulated internet theory suggesting that any athlete or team supported by the Canadian rapper is destined to face defeat in their respective sporting events.</p>

<p>Drake's track record in betting hasn't always been smooth sailing. For instance, he faced losses of $1 million in the World Cup final between Argentina and France in 2023. He also lost a bet of $500,000 on Israel Adesanya to beat Sean Strickland by KO in UFC 293. He also lost $275,000 when Colby Covington defeated Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272.</p>

<p>However, last year, Drake seemingly broke the curse when he won around $300,000 in Bitcoin after betting on the Los Angeles Rams to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVII. He also won $25 million playing virtual roulette with French Montana in July 2023.&nbsp;</p>

<p>These wins provide&nbsp;a glimmer of hope for Drake and his followers, suggesting that the curse may not be true in every circumstance.</p>

Drake bets $1.15 million on Chiefs to win Super Bowl LVIII: ‘Can’t bet against the Swifties’

<p>Amid the fervour surrounding the Super Bowl showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, a different spotlight has emerged - one that shines on Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and her allegiance to the Chiefs. However, amidst complaints labelling Swift as a "distraction" to the team, Grammy-winning artist Adele has emerged as a vocal advocate for her fellow musician.</p>

<p>The British songstress boldly voiced sentiments that echoed the desires of many Swifties. Adele demonstrated unwavering support for Taylor Swift, challenging the narrative that has surrounded her presence at NFL games.</p>

<p>A recent video shared by Pop Base on their X account shows Adele taking a firm stand for her friend and extending&nbsp;her support for the Chiefs.</p>

<p>Pop Base captioned their post, “Adele says she will be supporting the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl for Taylor Swift and defends her from football fans. Amid the fervour surrounding the Super Bowl showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, a different spotlight has emerged - one that shines on Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and her allegiance to the Chiefs. However, amidst complaints labelling Swift as a "distraction" to the team, Grammy-winning artist Adele has emerged as a vocal advocate for her fellow musician. The British songstress boldly voiced sentiments that echoed the desires of many Swifties. Adele demonstrated unwavering support for Taylor Swift, challenging the narrative that has surrounded her presence at NFL games. A recent video shared by Pop Base on their X account shows Adele taking a firm stand for her friend and extending her support for the Chiefs. Pop Base captioned their post, “Adele says she will be supporting the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl for Taylor Swift and defends her from football fans. <p>Sony Music Group has finalised an agreement to purchase half of Michael Jackson's publishing and recorded masters catalogue. Sources close to the deal indicate that the valuation of these music assets surpasses $1.2 billion, with some estimates suggesting a figure upwards of $1.5 billion. This historic transaction solidifies Sony's position as a major player in the music rights market.</p>

<p>The agreement, which was closed late last year, represents one of the largest valuations ever recorded for a musician's catalogue. Jackson's catalogue holds an unparalleled legacy in the music industry, encompassing a vast array of iconic songs and compositions. Notably, the deal includes non-Jackson-authored songs from his Mijac publishing catalogue, incorporating works from esteemed artists such as Sly &amp; the Family Stone, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jackie Wilson, Curtis Mayfield, Ray Charles, Percy Sledge, and Dion.</p>

<p>While the specifics of the deal remain undisclosed, it is understood that the agreement covers both publishing and recorded masters catalogue. However, royalties from theatrical productions featuring Jackson's music, such as the Broadway play, are not included in the deal.</p>

<p>Jackson's enduring popularity and the expanding streaming marketplace have contributed to the growing value of his music assets. Recent data indicates a significant increase in sales and streams of Jackson's music, outpacing the overall market growth. With the forthcoming release of a biopic titled "Michael," his fanbase is expected to expand further, driving additional revenue streams to his estate and rights holders.</p>

<p>R&amp;B superstar Usher, fresh off of a wildly successful Las Vegas residency, said his performance at Sunday's Super Bowl halftime show will be the latest peak in his 30-year career.</p>

<p>"Las Vegas has been amazing for me," Usher, clad in a long black leather jacket, black gloves and dark sunglasses, told a packed press conference on Thursday.</p>

<p>"Having 100 sold-out shows at a residency and to have the next one be the crescendo, which will be the Super Bowl with Apple, is really giving my time here in Las Vegas an incredible button at the end."</p>

<p>Usher is not new to the halftime show stage, having made a spectacular aerial entrance during a cameo in 2011 when the Black Eyed Peas were headlining. But his abiding memory from that night was when he struggled to free himself from the harness that had lowered him to the stage and he hopes Sunday's performance will go a little more smoothly.</p>

<p>"My hand got caught in the wire that was holding me 30 feet in the air and I almost missed my first mark. I was like oh my God, don't let this malfunction cost me to miss something," he said.</p>

<p>"But afterwards it felt so amazing to be in front of that many people and feel the energy. So much so that it made me really passionate about eventually getting this moment."</p>

<p>"It has definitely been a challenge to squeeze 30 years of music into 13 minutes," he said with a laugh.</p>
