Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin experienced a nasty collision withValencia goalkeeper Neto on Sunday in a match against Valencia CF.
As the result,Godin lost three of his teeth and also suffered considerable damage to hisgums and will be on the sidelines for an unknown period of time.
Valencia goalkeeper Neto went high up for a high ballfollowing an Antoine Griezmann free-kick in the second half and bumped right onto Godin's face tosave the ball.
The collision was so scary that Godin's face was all covered in blood immediatelyafter the impact.
Angel Correa scored the goal for Atletico, who are second in La Liga, nine points behind leaders Barcelona.
Atletico, who won the game 1-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano said the Uruguayan centre-back would undergo surgery in the coming days after having three of his upper teeth knocked out.

After the event, Atletico Madrid Tweeted, "Diego Godin suffered an injury to his face during the match against Valencia.
Our defender has suffered a dentoalveolar fracture to three of his maxilla. He will undergo maxillofacial surgery in the coming days."
