The latest development may jeopardise Shami's World Cup campaign as the next hearing of the case is scheduled on June 22, while the ICC tournament starts from May 30.
Shami’s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, accused him of domestic violence and filed a charge sheet against him.
On March 8, 2018, Jahan lodged a complaint against her husband and his elder brother Hasib Ahmad. Allegations of threat, infidelity and dowry demand were levelled against the cricketer, which Shami has denied.
