The Indian pair of Yuki Bhambri and Divij Sharan romped through to the men's doubles second round of the French Open after defeating Fabrice Martin and Purav Raja at Court 16 on Wednesday.

Earlier in the competition, Yuki Bhambri lost to 111th-ranked Ruben Bemelmans of Belgium 4-6,4-6, 1-6 in the men's singles match.

Bhambri and Sharan will now meet second seeds Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic in the second round.

Also, Rohan Bopanna with his partner Edouard Roger-Vasselin will clash with Benjamin Bonzi and Gregoire Jacq in the mixed doubles second round on Thursday.
