F1: Amid Red Bull turmoil, Verstappen vows to see out contract till 2028
Max Verstappen says 'definitely' his intention to remain at Red Bull
Three-time world champion Max Verstappen has ruled outa move to a rival outfit amid the ongoing Red Bull saga.Max has been flying on the track, having won the opening two races of the calendar but thecontroversy surrounding team principal Christian Horner refuses to leave him alone.
Quizzed at the Australian Grand Prix ahead of Free Practice 1 if he intended to honour the Red Bull contract signed till 2028, Verstappen cleared the air and said he was committed to the team.
“Of course, that is why I signed the contract in the first place," said Verstappen.
“For sure, with the deal in place, that is my intention, to be here until the end. It would be a great story for me to see it out till the end because it would mean I’ve been part of one family and one team."
“I feel we all want the same, we all want to perform on the track, that’s what we want to focus on as a team.In general, when you have a successful team, when you have a good group of central people, it is important to keep them together and happy and in the same roles," he added.

Verstappen's threat
Verstappen's fresh comments comeafter he suggested the situation would not be good if Red Bull motorsport adviser Helmut Marko was let go due to his opposition to Horner.
"It's very important that he stays within the team. If such an important pillar falls away, that's not good for my situation as well. So, for me, Helmut has to stay, for sure," said Verstappen.
Red Bull's initial plan was to suspend Marko but after Verstappen publically lent his support, the team canned the proposal.
Amid the drama, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff made it clear that he would be happy to take Verstappen in his corner, if he decides to leave Red Bull, come the next season.
Speaking about Wolff's interest, Verstappen said: "It doesn't have any impact on me on what I would do. It's always nice to hear that."
"Toto and I, we had our little moments but that's normal between two teams battling for the championship. But the respect has always been there. From my side, it doesn't change anything."
Lewis Hamilton is quitting Mercedes at the end of season for Ferrari, leaving an empty seat at the German team. Wolff has remained tight-lipped on a new signing as the Red Bull dramaunfolds.
